"With the recent snow melt and the rain we are having this may be a timely recommendation. I hope you don’t have this need, but if you do I would like to recommend Master Service Company. We had at least six estimates for waterproofing our basement and although not nearly the cheapest, we were impressed by the presentation and the personnel and low key sales approach. So, we hired them! The work was done last week and again we were impressed with the crew doing the work, the care given to hold down the dust created, the quality of the materials used, and the willingness of the crew to keep us apprised of the job as it progressed. The was great care given to cleanup of what is a very messy job. We waited until the repair had been “battle tested”, (and this inclement weather has certainly accomplished that) before writing a recommendation. We could not be more pleased at this point. "I had some creaking floors, cracked tiles in my kitchen, and a very broken set of tiles in the corner of my bathroom that I wanted to fix, but worried that they were a result of a problem with my foundation. Not wanting to keep patching something up and never address the root of the problem, I checked out Angie's List for "foundation repair" and called Ameri-Dry to set up an appointment.
The receptionist (or whoever answered the phone) was courteous and professional, and set up an appointment for just a few days later based on my work schedule. I had a follow-up phone call the day before my scheduled appointment to confirm the work that they were coming to do, and ensure that they were sending an inspector who was experienced in the type of problems I was having.
On the day of service, the inspector, Chad, arrived right on time. We walked through the house and I showed him my problem areas, then he went into the crawlspace to check the foundation around the perimeter of the house. When he came back up to let me know what he had found, I of course feared the worst, but he told me he couldn't find a single problem with my foundation, that it all looked good. Part of me was bracing for a "but you need waterproofing" sales pitch, but that never came. He did say there was a little water on one wall inside, but I knew why (a clogged downspout during a storm a week earlier) and had already taken steps to fix that problem.
I was obviously very happy with the outcome of the inspection, and even though I didn't have any work done, I really came away impressed with the professionalism and honesty in the way this company seems to do business. Based on my experience, I would encourage any Angie's List member looking for any help with the services they offer to put them on their short list to call for an inspection/quote.

"Things went great.  Provider kept in contact with me about appointment, and actually called me to see if it was alright to come early!  He did.  He was very talkative while he went about the work, and explained everything he was doing and why.  He pointed out a few things that were constructed wrong, but not something that needed to be remedied immediately.  The crew was very personable and friendly.  They were not pushy at all in discussing the roof and a few other things.  They just asked that we keep them in mind if we decided to do any other work. I would definitely call them for any future work on roof or siding.  Thanks for making us aware of Coombs Roofing and Design.
