Even after long periods of rain, Next Level was able to salvage the top layer of grass and was able to place it back after installation of the drainage system without me having to re-sod the yard. "When they cut my lawn it looked very nice.  I opted for the every 2nd week or 10 day option forgot which one.  When they cut my lawn was a mystery.  They did respond to my requests quickly and adjusted the payments accordingly.  They were very responsive to my requests.  I opted for next year to do my own yard.

"Don and his crew were very professional and trustworthy. Don has great knowledge of trees and landscaping and gave us great feedback and insight into the best approach to take with our 4 dead trees, with 3 trees too close to our house, and with tree limbs obstructing the sun to our garden, as well as unsafe dead limbs. He has all the equipment necessary, and has amazingly skilled climbers (including himself) who carefully and methodically do their tree cutting and trimming, while the other crew members clear the ground and leave no trace of having been in our yard. Don is extremely competitive with his price and will work within your budget. We had a lot of work done for a very good price. And we had no worries because Don is a man of his word, and will schedule, follow up, and do an excellent job along with his hard working crew. "I am very pleased.  German was on time and very courteous.  He began by setting the sprinkler system to run so that he could inspect all of the heads, and we walked around the yard together.  We discussed which heads should be adjusted and how, and he patiently made the adjustments while I said "a little more this way, a little more that way..."  German also replaced a broken sprinkler head for no additional charge.
I had purchased a "Big Deal" for the sprinkler system tune-up, because we've owned our house for 3 years and never had the system looked at. It was just the push I needed to tend to my sprinkler. Well worth the $39 I paid. German advised me about proper maintenance of the system, and I was surprised that the winterization was so cheap ($75 for regular customers, $65 for Angie's List members). I already have it on my calendar to call them in the fall.
German and I also discussed which sprinkler heads are poorly located and should be relocated.  Each of the recommended relocations is obvious, because the landscaping has grown up since the original installation.  I absolutely did not feel like he was trying to sell me services I didn't need. I will definitely be calling to schedule the additional work.
The time window they gave me for servicing District customers was also ideal (between 7 am and 8:30 am).

"First, the entire experience was positive.  I started with a blank canvas and the water garden and patio with swing turned out more beautiful than I ever imagined.  The stonemasons were very professional and courteous and kept the work area immaculate throughout the entire process. While this work was performed close to nine months ago, it is because of a recent experience that I feel more compelled than ever to provide a rating.  I’m a firm believer in seeking the knowledge and lessons learned from reviews such as these on Angie’s List; however, I’m one of those folks that gets distracted and forgets to add a rating.  Last weekend I did the “spring” clean on the pond and since the pump was off for a while, it did not start up immediately and I panicked [my two koi and four goldfish have become family!].  I called Maxsell’s number and wasn’t surprised as it was Sunday that I didn’t get an answer.  I didn’t leave a message, however, within minutes Mike Dowling, the owner was calling me back!  He was at my house within 15 minutes.  Luckily, as Mike explained, the pump was simply not primed since it had been turned off for a while and all ended well.  While Mike was there, he offered to install a recently purchased UV clarifier.  Maxsell’s motto is “Friendship Through Service” and it was certainly demonstrated. "
