"Angie's list had a deal for up to 4 hrs of leaf removal, so we thought we would try them. We originally schedule a Monday at 9:00am, but they didn't show. When we finally contacted them (the voice mailbox was full), they thought it was for the following Monday. Ok, so there was a misunderstanding. So the next Monday comes and they don't show up again. There was snow on the ground, which was an exclusion in the deal, so we expected a notification that they weren't coming. None came until after we reached out to them. We were told that they had emailed, but we never received one. We rescheduled for Thursday at 9:00am. They called early Thursday to say they would be there in the afternoon. They finally did the work that day. I will say they got most of the leaves off the yard, but it looks like they ruffed up the turf some with their powerful vacuums. But most annoying was the large pile of leaves they left in the walkout, which I had to deal with so they wouldn't block the drain. So I'd say that they certainly removed the leaves from the yard, but they lacked finesse, weren't particularly careful at cleaning up afterward, and were hard to contact."

"I have used Freestate Tree Service before, as they always do a great job. This experience was not different. I had to have a dying Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) removed, approximately 30 feet tall. They promptly responded to my initial e-mail to have them come out and check to see if the tree was able to be saved (it wasn't, which was no surprise) and e-mailed an estimate the next day. The other two companies (one wasn't able to get someone out to look at the tree until 2 weeks from my e-mail) and the one that did stop by gave an over-the-phone quote that was significantly higher. The Freestate guys showed up bright and early to start cutting away at the tree. They always seem to do quite a lot of work in a rather short amount of time. By the afternoon the tree was gone and they were cleaning up."

I had him put in a patio in my back yard and fix my front steps and put a retainer wall around my tree and in front of the house for flower bed price was pricey but worth it as they say you get what you pay for excellent service. Everything looks great. I will give an update next year if anything falls apart but at this time I recommend his service."
