"We were in the unfortunate position of needing to replace two HVAC units in our home at the same time. We learned that our son is sensitive to mold and found that our existing units, which were 15 years old, had mold in the plenum. We reached out to five local A/C businesses in efforts to find a person or company we felt comfortable with who would install two new, trustworthy HVACs with a filtration system to combat mold. Adam at Cool Tech was the last person we met with of the five businesses, and ultimately the one who earned our trust. Where some of the companies saw an opportunity to add lots of extra bells and whistles (because of our son's sensitivity), Adam was honest and straightforward about what was necessary and what was not. The technician claimed he ran a camera inspection twice and told her she had a broken pipe under her house that would cost $17,000 to repair. He never showed her any video or proof of the supposed damage. Thankfully, I called a different plumber for a second opinion. They snaked the line, cleared the clog, and charged $220. No broken pipe, no massive repair needed. I find it unacceptable to scare an elderly woman into thinking she needed a $17,000 repair when it was simply a clog. If you use this company, demand actual video proof and always get a second opinion."
