"I interviewed about five companies for my basement waterproofing. Many of the companies expected me to move heavy objects away from the walls, or they would charge extra. This company included moving the objects away from the walls in their quote. They also will bring their own plumbers and electricians come in to disconnect and then reconnect those utilities during the project. They have an architectural design engineer who has certified their product as a superior basement waterproofing product. <br /> <br /> I was concerned that the company had been sued. However the regional manager was very responsive and addressed my concern by letting me know that the person who had sued them had actually decided to go through with a different company. The manager told me that they would have been happy to honor the repairs until the person wanted to go with a  different company."

"Before hiring LevelLift, I contacted a friend of mine who owns a Structural Engineering firm, but only work commercial not residential.  So after receiving at least (5) estimates, we agreed that LevelLift was the company to hire.    <br /> Met with Paul Mauer of Levelift Systems, he was very nice, patient and professional along with his team.  Received a proposal for the work noted below: <br /> The work in the basement  included but not limited too grout beneath concrete, excavate & installed timber walls, <br /> raise window well & installed standard home-improvement store grade cover, raise grade, furnished & installed discharge pipes for down spouts, installed seven steel beams, new interior drainage, repaired damaged mortar joints, installed 12" high cast-in-place concrete curb between steel beams and they took care of all the Montgomery County permits and inspections.  In addition, mobilization, site preparation and  furnished & installed discharge pipe for sump pump. <br /> In addition, Paul recommended a very good Structural Engineer to take care of the structural drawings. <br /> The contract payment terms were broken down into four payments with the option of using major credit cards and we have a ten (10) year warranty. <br /> Paul and his team were very responsive, punctual, and professional and the quality of the work was excellent.  We have not had any problems in the basement since 2013.  They are highly recommended. "I did a competition on replacing our basement door, reviewing both the solution for a Signet Door and including price installed. After reviewing several solutions from several top rated companies, we decided that On the Level Contracting (OTL) (Peter Psihas) had the best solution for the outside trim with a 12 9/16” Frame Depth. I than went to the 3 lowest bidders (including OTL) with the final configuration to ensure everyone was bidding on the same configuration. After receiving the 3 final bids from top rated companies, OTL had the lowest price. After Peter ordered the door from ProVia, Peter provided me the estimated date he would be receiving the door from Provia. When the door was received Peter notified me and worked with me to schedule the installation date based upon our availability. The installation team from OTL arrived in the schedule time, verified they had the correct door prior to starting the work and did an excellent job installing the replacement door. Peter can to our house prior to the job being completed to ensure I was satisfied and went over the warranty information. Prior to signing the final contract, I talked to Peter about providing the Aluminum and replacing the Aluminum Capping to the side of the garage door that was dented. Peter and his father (George) replaced the capping matching the bends exactly to the top and the other side. I highly recommend using OTL.!!!"

With a major iron ore issue we we're finally able to install a system that allowed for cleanout and maintenance and prevent the continual flooding and water damage that I had experienced. "Stowe Contracting has done work for me before, so I expected the quality and professionalism.  But then Gene said he could do the job for almost $2,000 less than the other estimate I received!  <br /> My house is under contract and the home inspection revealed some things that needed to be done quickly.  Settlement was just two weeks away.  A portion of the roof over an addition had some bumps and ripples in several places and needed new vent caps.  Sam and Erik pulled the old shingles off and repaired the sheathing underneath.  They discovered what was causing the roof's problems and made repairs to prevent it happening again. The new shingles match the older section of the roof perfectly.  You can hardly tell that one section is ten years older.  Their job was made more difficult by a new septic system being put in the back yard.  But instead of being in each other's way, they seemed to be working together to get both jobs done more efficiently.  There was a rainy day during the roof repair.  Sam made sure the roof was covered thoroughly to prevent any possibility of leaking.  They spent the rainy day doing the inside repairs.  At the end of each day, the work area was left clean. No tools or debris left out.  Gene sent an electrician to do a few repairs and a plumber to fix a short cycling pressure tank.   <br /> All the work was finished before settlement day.  Sam and Erik were always respectful toward me and my family and of my home.  No muddy shoes or grimy fingerprints.  Gene called everyday or stopped by to make sure things were going well and that I was happy with the work. Next time, I won't even bother with other estimates.  I couldn't be happier with Stowe Contracting.  Excellent quality, excellent price!  Thank you, Gene! "
