"They arrived as scheduled. Got right to work and blew the job out (no pun intended) in short order. Yard was completely cleared of leaves. Blew them out the street for township pick-up into a nice pile. Can't be happier with their service; we've used them 2 years.

"Patrick and his team were wonderful to work with for our stone and brick repointing! They came on time as scheduled for both the quote (which was very fair for the work that needed done) and actual work start date. The work they did looks amazing, and they took care to make the new sections of mortar have the same style as the old sections on our beautiful Victorian. Patrick even pointed out several other issues (some of which we were aware of), and prioritized them based on severity. We will happily be hiring them again for our masonry needs!"

"Found Rock-A-Fellas on Angies List and I'm glad I did.  Bob examined thoroughly and patiently explained the construction flaws in the carport built in the rear of my home by another contractor back in 2009.  Because the original contactor did not follow standard building codes and use proper construction techniques and materials, I was cited by the City of Philadelphia.  Bob spoke to the Licenses and Inspections Inspector and tried very hard to figure a way to save the carport.  Unfortunately, due to the poor prior construction, demolition was the only option left to me.

Bob and his three man crew arrived 30 minutes early and for the next three and a half hours methodically and carefully removed the carport, which included a roof and sides.   I was very impressed with their attention to detail such as avoiding damaging the power and cable lines, reassembling the downspout, tying back the power lines after the demolition was over/

After the demolition was over, you couldn't tell there was ever a structure.

I hired Rock-A-Fellas to  remodel/reconstruct my nephew's bedroom, which had termite and moisture damage.  I'm also considering having Bob and his crew do a complete remodel of my kitchen, basement, and a new carport.

This was my best experience with a contractor.  I give Rock-A-Fellas an A+++++ rating.

"Josh and his crew were polite, timely, and catered to our schedule. Josh was responsive to all of our questions, provided a great quote, and delivered on everything promised. His crew was great, and the crew lead went over each room with me to ensure that the job was done correctly. We are more than happy with the finished product and will be referring Josh and his team to anyone who needs the services he provides."

"We had known about this problem for some time and had also had a structural engineer evaluate our situation.  We may be putting our house up for sale soon and decided it was finally time to get the wall fixed.  Armed with my own research and the engineers evaluation, we searched for a contractor to perform the work we knew we needed to have done.  Upon contacting Foundation Experts, Larry got back to me very quickly and we set up an appointment for him to inspect the wall.  He was VERY thorough in explaining what needed to be done to stabilize the wall to prevent any further movement/damage.  He said we should have the wall "pinned".  He quoted us $4000 to do the whole job (10 pins along a roughly 25ft. long wall).  They also designed the system so that the re-bar would pass through the top course of block and attach to the house sill plate above the wall to help lock it in place.
The price was on par with most other estimates (slightly cheaper actually), but we decided to go with Foundation Experts mostly because they were very thorough with their evaluation, were honest (I was armed with a lot of info about our situation and felt very confident that what he proposed to do was exactly what needed to be done) and they did not pressure us at all.  I also really liked the fact that they routinely work with engineers and felt that they had a better grasp on executing the work over other contractors we contacted.  They also will work with the township if permits are needed.
We scheduled for the work to start the following week.  Their team took about 2 days to do the work.  They were very professional and did not make a mess at all.  They put plastic up to prevent concrete dust from getting everywhere in the basement and cleaned up thoroughly.  Larry was present during the bulk of the work and made sure that everything went smoothly.  They even worked with us on the payment method.  He made it very clear if we have any issues/concerns or questions to call them anytime.  He also stressed that if we sell the house and potential buyers have any questions/concerns to contact him and they will work with us as best they can.
The wall is now fixed and my wife and I feel better knowing that our wall won't come crashing down during then next heavy rain!  We also feel better knowing that we won't have to worry about foundation issues coming up if/when we sell our house.  All in all, it was a great experience!

"How do I speak if I am still speechless when I look at the

beauty that Jeff and his crew have created in our backyard!!??  WOW and

WOW!!!  From the moment we met Jeff (about a year ago) we knew that he was

the person we wanted to work with! Yes, there are a lot of competition out

there but Jeff has this unique set of professional skills and personal

qualities that you simply don't see these days anymore: honesty, work ethic and

integrity, ultimate professionalism and simply the fact that he is a terrific and fun guy! Yes,

we could go and get other quotes and opinions, and Jeff had even suggested we

do that - but we just felt that it wasn't necessary.  I agree that in

today's world of reviews and comparison shopping (which I do all the time!) , it is important to get as

many opinions as possible BUT sometimes you just know what's right, it's just

the old gut feeling!  Yes, the money factor is imperative

BUT there are other things that are more important  when you want to get a

top quality work done. You just can't compromise! And Jeff is absolutely

phenomenal at what he does - just best in class!. And is very reasonable as far

as the pricing goes. He delivered (and OVERDELIVERED!) an absolutely top of the

line work!

THANK YOU Jeff (and your crew!) for the beautiful oasis we now have in the

backyard! It looks so amazing in December and we can only imagine how it will

look in the spring!

We look forward to working with you on our future projects!!

With great appreciation,

K"

FAQs for concrete delivery projects in Browns Mills, NJ

The amount of concrete you need varies by project. One 80lb bag covers an area of about 2 square feet, for a slab 4 inches thick. Two 60lb bags of concrete cover an area of about 2 square feet for a slab that is 6 inches thick.

A truckload of concrete can usually hold a maximum of 10 cubic yards.

The cost of concrete per cubic yard depends on which brand you purchase, but usually costs about $110 for bags.

It takes about 41 bags of concrete to fill a cubic yard. Always plan to buy a few bags more than the exact required amount in case of mistakes.

To calculate the amount of concrete you need for a slab, you should find the cubic yardage of the area you will be filling. Just follow these steps:

  1. Measure the area in feet.

  2. Multiply length by width, and then by thickness.

  3. Divide the resulting number by 27 to find cubic yards.
