Small jobs welcome

"David figured out a challenging project on a cabinet so old that its hinges are no longer available. He was courteous, professional and punctual. I am grateful that his creative thinking and stick-to-itiveness resulted in a cabinet door that is working again! Thank you, David!!!"

"Brian was very responsive to my request for a quote and provided that quote promptly. His quote was very competitive and his reviews were excellent, so we selected his company to prep and paint the exterior of our house and attached garage. During the prep, Brian found several necessary repairs, met with our contractor to point them out, and worked around the contractor's schedule and work crew. Due to his experience, he was able to tell us which repairs were critical to prevent further damage and which were cosmetic. His advise was very helpful and consistent with the advise of our contractor. The completed work is beautiful and should protect our house for years to come. Brian was always responsive to telephone or text messages and was pleasant and professional on site. I would highly recommend him to any friend and would definitely use him again."

"Excellent company! Great communication and quality of work, trustworthy people. I highly recommend this company. This house was taken down to the frame and rebuilt with new electric, plumbing, roof, insulation, windows, drywall, floors and custom kitchen. Brian and Larry were very knowledgable and always available to discuss decisions. Brian always kept me updated on progress and returned any missed calls right away. I feel as if I won the lottery in finding this contractor. I was nervous hiring a contractor for the first time after hearing many horror stories about terrible contractors from other people. This company and its people are amazing. I can't say enough about them, I recommend them to everyone for any size project, from decks, roofs to complete remodel projects you can't go wrong with B. McLaughlin Quality Construction!"

"<p>Before re-roofing They covered my flower beds and ground around the house, brought in a dumpster/truck and then  stripped off my roof shingles. They then cut out the roof and installed 2 new Velux Roof Windows (with installation kits, screens etc.), and shingled my vacation home using water/ice barriers, soffit vents and roof vents.  I specified IKO  architectural roof shingles. The job required releasing and reestablishing the supports for my chimney and vent pipe   </p> <p>They also protected my upstairs from dirt and dust, covering all furniture and vacuuming at the end of the job. </p> <p>The job went very well: on time, on estimate and schedule. The yard and flower beds were completely free from shingle waste or pulled nails. </p> <p>Some of the protection and clean up details were specified in the contract, but Troy's crews clean up the jobsite as a general rule.</p> <p>Now, several months later after weekly rain storms, one dumping 5-inches of rain in one night, I am completely confident that the skylights  are completely weather tight. There has been absolutely no sign of any problem.</p> <p>I could not be more pleased. They came in on scope, schedule, and budget with no fuss or bother. It makes me wonder why I submitted to years tension and disappointment with other contractors.</p> <p>The job was the second major project Troy has done for me in the last two years. I'm planning another project next year.  </p> <br />"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Brownville, ME

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
