"I contacted DJ on a Friday morning when the sewer backed up into my basement for the third time - while we had guests staying in the basement. He was booked for the day but said he could come out late - maybe by 6 but probably later. He arrived at about 7 after notifying me he would be later than 6. He also let me know when he was on his way. He and his helper got right to work putting a camera down the sewer line. They could see some hardened substance on the pipe walls at about 30 feet but shortly after that water blocked the view. They snaked the pipe and retrieved roots. We had had it snaked by a plumber about 1.5 months prior and no roots were detected. We snaked it ourselves a second time and also had not managed to find the culprits (o.k., so we are lucky we managed the operation at all). A second look with the camera showed exactly where the roots were coming into the pipe. We had feared a collapsed pipe so roots were good new for us. DJ then gave me explicit instructions on what to do to keep them from coming back. They were professional, fast, clean, and very informative. I liked that he did not say that I immediately needed super-expensive work, rather he told me what I needed to do to keep an eye on things to see if the deposit on the pipes and another piece of debris he found were going to cause problems. Only if they do cause problems in the future do I need to take further action. The price was steep (to me) but it was about the same as the other plumber we had out 2 months ago and that plumber did not find the problem and did not check the line with a camera. I will hire them back if I need similar work in the future."

"Worked primarily with Hooper Jr., who was frank and honest throughout the process. Job was finished in two days as expected. Price was lower than other quotes we received, and the work was done within the price range estimated. <br /> Hooper also used their camera to inspect the entire line from the house to the town's main line, identifying (and showing me on screen) another looming problem that we will need to take care of in the near future -- sad news that the problem exists, but I was glad to have learned of it before it results in a real backup. <br /> As a side note: in addition to restoring the part of the driveway they had to dig up, Hooper also used some of their excess asphalt to smooth over the nearby cracked end of our driveway -- a kind gesture that I had not asked them to do, and that they did not charge for. <br />"

"These guys were great!  They promptly came in with the right price, the right equipment and expertise to quickly and cleanly replace the water main to our home.  They showed up when they said they would and completed all the work within a day and a half, which was surprising because of the cold weather and how far our house is from the street.  The team quickly dug down to the site of the leak, and did so in such a way that when they put things back together our grass looked like it did before they started the repair.  They then brought in a machine that bored along the old water main, not disturbing any other parts of our yard or landscaping.  It was an impressive operation to watch.  The work they did inside the house was equally as professional.  The team cleaned up after themselves, and the concrete they removed and then replaced in our foundation has had no issues since the repair.  I would highly recommend that if you find yourself needing to have your water main line replaced that you call these guys.  They were much cheaper than the other companies that provided us an estimate, and they were the only ones that did not propose digging up our whole front yard to replace the line. <br />"
