"If you call this company up ask for Patrick - he was great to work with. Always quick to respond to questions we had and he is very educated about roofing and the industry. The crew that did the work was great. They estimated it to be a 1-2 day project and it ended up taking 2 days. I was really impressed with the cleanup. I was worried about nails in the yard because we have a couple of dogs and a riding lawn mower. They have these huge magnets they roll around in the yard that pick everything up. I only found a few nails by the gutter downspouts that drained from the gutters when it rained. Hire this company if you need a new roof."

"Sanders and sons did an excellent job tuck pointing, flashing repair and refurbishing the chimney caps. They went above and beyond getting the job done because we had limited time to get this done due to sale of our home."

"We replaced 3 casement windows, one operating and two fixed in dormers.  We also replaced the wood siding on the dormers and gable with JamesHardie siding.  Matt was reliable and responded promptly to emails and calls.  A crew of 3 did the work in three days.  They cleaned up each afternoon before leaving and made sure the appearance of the front of the house was neat.  They were courteous and respectful.  I would highly recommend Matt and his company to anyone. <br />"

"It went very well. Most of the limbs were over buildings on the property, and the crew was careful not to let any of the cut limbs damage my roofs. They cleaned up better than I would have expected. Nicolas even went out of his way to blow out my gutters, as he saw me struggling with that unrelated job."

"Got on Angi's: Wanted Glass Shower Door Unit installed on Tub. 20 minutes after submitted for help - Matt texted and ask when good time to stop by. I Said in morning, anytime after 9 am. I called Matt next morning, about 9 am - we talked and Matt said could be over in 15-20 minutes (and he was). Matt noticed: Tub had lean. Long story short: More we tore into things, the worse it got !! With Matt's advice (and his co-worker Brad) - ended up: removed Cast Iron Tub, reinforced sidewall studs & base plate, reinsulated, replaced subfloor & interior walls around tub. THEN: Installed new tub & surround. Of course, existing water lines had to be relocated !! Numerous small hurdles came up (during all this). Been hard not to lose patience. Matt & Brad never got upset, were never negative. They'd figure situations out, share info with me & share what they planned to do - to fix it. Not once, did Matt or Brad not include me, regarding any significant repair needing done. Not once, did Matt or Brad complain. After new shower & tub installed - they were finally able to install Glass Shower Door Unit !! Did a wonderful job !! Brad even reinstalled Laminate Flooring that had to be torn up (when replaced subflooring). Matt's work was detailed & proper. He not a "Corner Cutter" - yet, he knows how to do things (that save you money). Matt talked with me about work to be done: before, during & after. We also talked about money: before, during & after. There were no suprises. Matt and Brad are true to their word. Bottom Line: If need help on project in future: Matt will be my 1st call. And I hope Brad still working with him. Good Team !!"

"We purchased our home in June 2013 and 6 windows need to be replaced, we contacted many companies, but after some appointments, checking on Angie's list and referrals we decided to go with Faerber's Bee Window. From the time that the sales representative  met with us to now, 2 years later we had an overall great experience. <br /> At our meeting the sales representative was very professional and knowledgeable, not pushy at all. What was great since we had some bad experiences with other companies we talked to. He was very friendly and to the point,  and very respectful of our time. <br /> Once the windows were ready to be installed, the installers were very nice, knowledgeable and did an amazing job on making sure that everything was clean and in better shape than before. Unfortunately one of the big windows was damaged during shipping and they had to come back to install the final window at a later time. but we had no issues, since they called us ahead of time to let us know what had happened and another one had a glass defect and they replaced with no problems at all. (it is a huge picture window and that was a "wave" on the glass) <br /> A few months later, during the winter, we had an issue with frost inside the window. It was a very cold and snowy winter, very atypical for us. When I called and left them a message, one of the  owners called me on a Saturday. I texted her the pictures and come to find out there was more to do with my house humidifier than the windows, it hasn't happened since. She was very courteous, friendly and professional. <br /> It has been over 2 years now, and the windows, look and work great! Great quality windows. <br /> I would recommend them to everyone. I know we had a couple issues, but every company will have that once in a while. What stood out to me, was their customer service, promptness and over all great customer service and willingness to help; even when the issue had nothing to do with the window.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"We had used Champion before for siding, which they had done a very good job with, so we really weren't looking for the hard sell, we just wanted the price. Despite that, we had to sit through the 2 hour sales pitch. We went with Champion because of the price (and good prior experience). Our windows are great. Our doors are the problem. We use our sliding glass door like a regular entry door because we park behind our house. These doors are apparently not made for this (despite the assurances of our salesman to the contrary). The lock is so stiff that my key has literally bent 45 degrees from the pressure of trying to open it. It takes 2 hands to turn the keys. My elderly mother, or a child, would not be able to lock or unlock this door. I had a service call to try to adjust it, and they informed me that the doors are not meant to be used this way (to walk in and out of?!?!?) and suggested that I attach a dowel rod or use pliers to turn the key to get more torque on it. I'm not kidding. A month or two later the lock on the screen broke. It's a small metal piece that we could easily replace ourselves, but they wouldn't just mail us one, we had to wait for a service call. This is very problematic for us, as my cat can open the screen if it's not locked, so we had to keep the door shut for the week waiting for the service call. When he came and fixed it, we asked if he could leave us a couple extras of that lock, so we could just replace it ourselves if it happened again, and they would not (it's just a little metal latch, it can't be expensive). Now that latch is broken again. In addition, the handle on the glass door has gotten looser and looser, and now one of the screws has pulled all the way through, causing the handle to be very loose and unsecure. I had service out again. He blamed the broken latch on us, saying we must be pulling on it when locked. It's just my husband and I here, we don't have kids or anything, and we always know it's locked, so the only other possible culprit is the cat, but shouldn't a door latch be able to stand up to a cat? He also blamed the loose handle on us, or suggested maybe someone was trying to break in, but the loose screw is on the inside, and there is no other evidence anyone attempted to break in. He had to order a part for the handle, which we've now waited 2 weeks for, and in the meantime, he didn't even fix the screen latch; I guess he's waiting to do both at once, but why not do it while he was there? Bottom line, the windows are great. The doors are great, except for this whole lock/handle debacle. We feel that the salesman misrepresented the product, if it can't handle heavy traffic, we should have been told that honestly. We were very upfront about how we use it. Champion has fixed everything so far, but we feel it's been ridiculous to have all these problems in the first place. We have 3 more windows to replace, and don't know if we will use them again."

FAQs for natural slate roofing repair projects in Buck-creek, IN

If more than 30% of your slate roof is damaged, it's time to consider a full replacement. This will prevent further deterioration and avoid costly recurring repairs. A professional slate inspection (costing between $130 and $360) can confirm whether repairs are sufficient or if a full roof replacement is the better option.

A slate roof can last anywhere from 60 to 150 years, depending on factors like installation quality, regular maintenance and repairs, and local weather conditions. Compared to materials like clay and concrete, which often last around 50 years, a well-maintained slate roof offers superior longevity, durability, and long-lasting aesthetic appeal.

Yes, you can use temporary patch solutions, such as roofing cement or patchwork, to provide immediate relief for minor leaks or underlayment issues observed from inside your home. However, these provisional fixes do not replace the need for a permanent, professional exterior repair, which is necessary to ensure the long-term integrity and weather resistance of your slate roof.
