"Had a great experience with '58 Foundations from start to finish. Nathanael came out for the inspection and took the time to walk us through everything clearly and honestly, which gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Sergio and his crew were fantastic, professional, and left the space clean. Really happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend them to anyone dealing with basement water issues."

"I responded to an Angie's list ad and prepaid $895 for landscape overhaul. The owner 'Diego' showed up for estimate and asked for additional pre-payment before starting work. I said I already pre-paid and I'll pay the rest at the completion. Diego told me he doesn't operate that way, he's no longer interested in the job, and I should ask Angie's for refund. When I called Angie's, I was told I should get refund from Diego instead. But Diego never would respond to my message. Then I repeatedly contacted Angie's again and I was always told that Angie's will research except they never refunded my pre-payment for a service they advertised but never delivered. They didn't even want to tell me if they ever reached out to Diego on my behalf. Extremely disappointed in Angie's!"

"Contractors completed our project as advertised. The team was pleasant and professional always keeping me informed. Their commitment to the project was impeccable. They kept to our agreed schedule and kept me informed throughout the project. They replaced the entire concrete "pad" on one side of my pool. During one weather issue, the team was in constant contact as they rescheduled the completion of the project. I am recommending this contractor for all of your concrete needs. I will be using them on a couple of other projects and highly recommend them to others for their needs."

"We had a leak that had weakened the sub-floor in the shower. Chris professionally removed the shower glass, tile, concrete, shower pan and rotted sub-floor. He placed blowers underneath the house and in the bathroom to dry out as much sub-floor as he could. He installed a strengthened sub-floor, built a new shower pan, and retiled the shower and the surrounding floor. Chris's work habits are very good in that you always knew when he would arrive and he always worked as late as needed. I would recommend and hire Chris again in a minute!"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Buckhead, GA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
