"Troy did a nice job, especially with the carpentry part of the job.  Troy found new railroad ties to replace parts that were beyond repair, but the lumber was hard to find because of its dimensions.  Troy finally found them in Madison, bought them after calling me to discuss price and quantity and then hauled them back.  The old rotted pieces were difficult to remove but Troy kept at it and did a really nice job installing the replacement pieces.  The repair work to the other rot was decent but would have been better if framed out temporarily while the concrete dried.  I told him though that I wasn't looking for perfect on that part -- just good enough to stop further rot and fill in the holes.  I had purchased a 4-hour deal through Angies List and Troy was trying to get done within the allotted time. <br />"

"For the last 10 weeks, I have not been able to schedule reliable appointments due to unresponsive office staff. Without an appointment, the service is practically useless, since tech cannot get into the house when I am not here (which is likely if I do not expect him). Nevertheless, Intrastate continues to bill me. <br /> y This week I left an email message to office staff insisting that they call me to set up an appointment. Previous phone call attempts had failed repeatedly. The email I sent got no response. Office staff have habitually left the phone unattended, with no voice mail or other ways to leave a message. There is an e-mail address, but messages are ignored. Late this afternoon I tried another phone call and someone answered the phone. I set up a service appointment for next week. Intrastate is on probation with me. <br /> If they fail in any way to respond with full reliability to future scheduling attempts, I will drop them and find another service. I should have done this weeks ago. <br /> I have received satisfactory service from Intrastate for over 5 years, which explains my patience with their recent negligence. "The deal I purchased through Angie's list was I believe $1700(?) for a crew for a day. After looking around David realized it would be 2 days. David, Miguel and crew removed 5 or 6 large oaks, a diseased hickory, and many smaller scrubby trees. They ground stumps and cut all the wood in fireplace lengths for us to split later- as I requested. Because he didn't have to haul all the wood away or split it, I was able to have more trees taken down. The crew was fast, efficient and Miguel is amazing in the treetops. This was in 2015 and my barren shady yard is now sunny and grassy."
