"I purchased a new shower faucet and cartridge for the repair. Donny told my wife and I to save on the new faucet and wait till we did some wall/tile repair if we were to remodel in the near future. Rather than following our first wishes he may have saved us around $400, or more by being honest and a good guy. We had the cartridge replaced for our Moen faucet. It operates very well and no drips (bad for the Cat though!). We had additional savings when we returned the faucet to Menards. The cartridge was about $36-$39. We have used Randy Lane several times (maybe 5-7 times) and were quite satisfied. They have been our plumber of choice for several years. This was our first plumbing work completed by Donny. Not our last for sure!"

"I found water damage in the morning and after considerable investigation, determined that it was from a pinhole leak in a water pipe in the basement.  I had to turn off the main water valve to stop the leak, so I needed to repair this quickly.  I have used Burkhardt Plumbing before with success, so I called them again.  They were able to come that afternoon ( I called around noon) and Dean arrived within the promised time slot. 



He fixed the leak, and also advised me that it was probably due to insulation around the pipe which was held in place by small wires.  The insulation around the wire itself was decaying (probably installed 40 years ago) and could have caused an electrostatic charge (?) between the two metals which would corrode the copper pipe.  I appreciated this extra information, so that I can remove the rest of the insulation and prevent future leaks (the insulation was put on to prevent condensation and is no longer necessary).   I thought the cost of the repair was fair.

We purchased two door knob assemblies because two of the doors in our house would not close.  To our surprise, the handyman said that he could fix the old door knobs that were on the doors, which would keep with the historic look of the doors.  He made a trip to a hardware store in the area that had pieces to fix old doors, and he was able to fix the door knobs without installing new ones.  We didn't know that was possible, so we are very pleased with that.

Total time was 2 months from initial demolition of bathroom to kitchen finish. Seems reasonable based on extent of what we had done. "It is a really beautiful fence and arbor.  After not having a fence facing the alley for many years, and finally deciding to have one, I wanted to have a quality fence to provide some privacy but done in a more open and creative style to complement my gardens.  Hal Morris and his workers exceeded my expectations for quality and style.  He was able to fulfill my requests for a built-in trellis on the fence.  The arbor is beautiful and very sturdy.  His craftsmanship is remarkable.   He did have a very busy schedule, and had to wait a bit to get it started, but it was well worth the wait.  If you are looking fencing ideas that for your property, he has an ability to see what will look good in a specific area.  Very happy with his services and would highly recommend him."
