Paulo replaced an undersized garage header (two 18” deep x 18’ long LVLs), and sistered 21 floor joists (9.5” deep x 19’ long LVLs). Why Paulo and his crew is THE BEST: Personable. Thorough. Great communication. Extremely high-quality work. Reasonable prices. Paulo and his crew showed up on time every day, worked long hours, and promptly completed the job in ONLY TWO DAYS. I called four separate contractors for quotes on the job. Paulo was the most thorough in analyzing the specifics of what needed to be done, and he clearly communicated his plan of execution. The job was tricky because the garage header is located below an eight-foot-wide picture window, and the header needed to be jacked up to remove 1-1/8” of sag in the floor above”. Paulo clearly communicated jacking up the floor could cause a crack in the window, but took extra care to help avoid it (constructed an additional support wall on the 2nd floor to help take some of the pressure off the exterior wall while jacking up the header).
