He climbed up on the roof, confirmed the work that needed to be done and gave me a reasonable quote to take care of it right away. I agreed and he set about his work (fortunately, he had the matching shingles on his truck). When finished, he offered to walk around the roof and look for other areas of concern. He found two spots which were damaged by birds, and took care of them as well at no additional charge. After he was finished, we discussed the overall condition of the roof and he told me that I could easily get a couple of more years out of it, which is what I was hoping to hear.
