" I hired JF Asphalt (Juan Peron) to dig out roots and patch my asphalt driveway, crack fill and seal coat my whole driveway. They did the job in two days and I highly recommend them. Excellent quality work at a fair price. And Juan is great at communications. The driveway looks great and I would definitely hire them again!"

"ACE ASPHALT DID A GREAT JOB IN DESIGNING, PAVING AND FINISHING MY DRIVEWAY. MACHINERY, MEN WORKING AND TIMING OF THE JOB GET AN "A" RATING FROM ME. KIND, RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR FOR ME WAS NOTED AS SUPERIOR. ALL REQUESTS WERE ADDRESSED BY JIM. DRAINAGE, ROOTED AREAS, HILL ISSUES AND UNIQUE SITUATIONS WERE ALL CONSIDERED AND CREATIVELY HANDLED. THIS IS A "CUSTOMER" BASED BUSINESS. I LIKED THAT."

"The Kapusnik brothers did an awesome job grading and paving my driveway. Their quote was WAY less then a couple other contractors endorsed by Angie’s list that I got estimates from and almost 1/3 of what Blalock quoted me. They were able to come do the work about a week after signing the contract and that was partially due to poor weather. Some of the other contractors were saying it would be several months before they could start the work. Jonathan and Jason are stand up guys and a pleasure to work with! I’ll definitely be calling these guys when I need more asphalt work done."

"Carolina Solutions returned my call promptly and showed up on time for the estimate appt. It turned out they don’t install the support piers needed to fix the sagging floor in our master bedroom. They recommended someone to do the repair and we are in the process of having that done."

"My bathroom looks fantastic.  Kept a clean work area. Did everything listed in 2 days.  They are definitely coming back to do the other bathroom.  Would recommend them very highly. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Burlington, NC

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
