"QUICK ESTIMATE â needed to pick someone quickly in order to get painting done before I moved into a new house and Eric gave me an estimate after his walkthrough. Immediately after the walkthrough, as he was walking out, he crunched some numbers and gave me a price. The other companies didnâ t get back to me until EOD the next day at the earliest. One of the other companies didn't contact me until after Eric's team had completed the entire job! FAST COMPLETION -- 2-Day turnaround for approx 1200 sq ft â We got really lucky because it was going to rain and many of the guys working on exteriors were now available to help on my home's interior, so I ended up getting a team of 6 guys going all at once! I wouldn't expect this for your job unless you check the 10-day weather report and call ahead for rain days, but it really worked out for my wife and I. DETAILED â attention to detail was amazing. I am a little critical of edge work and could find almost no spots that needed touching up after the job was done! FRIENDLY - Eric, Orhan, and the whole team were really nice and really considerate of our new home. CLEAN â The team left the house free of drips, dust, or footprints. I think they left it cleaner than it started! VETERAN-OWNED -- My dad was in the Army for most of my upbringing and I saw firsthand how ungratefully our soldiers can be treated in rejoining the civilian work after retirement. Suffice to say I will always choose a vet-owned company first. COMPETITIVE PRICES - I'm putting this last on purpose because I wouldn't place the most weight on price. Did they cost less than the other companies? Yes!!!! BUT, I hired because I was under the gun time-wise, and Eric and his team finished the work before my wife and I moved into our new house. And he was just nicer than some of the other folks that gave us estimates. LIFETIME CUSTOMER -- From doing the estimate to getting the work started, they were quick, decisive and a pleasure to work with. For any painting needed on my house in the future, I will be giving them a call."

"Fabiano and his three-man crew spent three days on a range of exterior projects on an 1890s farm house. He is reliable, responsive, communicative and very reasonably priced. He and his crew clearly take pride in a job well done. They did fabulous work for us and we will be hiring them again for additional projects in the near future."

"A frozen pipe in my mother’s kitchen above a finished garage left us in dire straights. The exterior of the home is brick construction from the 1950’s but the pipe froze in such a way as to run across the floor and ruin the vapor barrier in the exterior walls. How to replace it without tearing down the brick? I asked seven contractors for a bid. All came out to look at the job, but it was a complicated repair in a persnickety township. Only two of them actually gave me a bid. I chose A.W. Martin and I’m glad I did. His bid was slightly higher, but his word was true: all expenses he had reckoned with wound up being covered by our homeowner’s insurance. Plus I had direct access to Tony via his cell phone at all times - a novelty to me since it did not work that way when I had used the insurance-preferred contractor for a previous repair. Indeed, communication was superior! Tony took the time to explain all aspects of the job in layman’s terms and didn’t mind if I called back for further clarification. He advised me about modifications that wouldn’t cost much now, but would save big bucks in the future. Tony worked around my schedule, which was important to me since I lived out of state and was overseeing the project from a distance. He sent workers from his team who spoke standard English - important to my elderly mother who is hard of hearing and has trouble understanding folks with accents. (Some of his subcontractors did speak Spanish). To save me money, Tony let me provide a shelving unit that I wanted recessed in a wall, charging only for installation and trimming it. And he dealt with all aspects of the township permit process - no small deal for the township my mother lives in! His electrician, Tim Murphy, installed my preferences of where the ceiling lights should be to the inch - to the inch! This electrician came back out at no charge one week after things were finished when the washing machine ground-faulted out and my mom needed help. It hasn’t happened since. I found Tony to be amiable, generous with his time and very concerned about customer satisfaction. The one down-side was that I had requested no work over the weekends, since Saturday was my day of worship and Sunday my mother’s. I did have to take him to task for scheduling subcontractors on Saturday, and he rescheduled them. If you are a seventh-day Sabbath keeper be very explicit about your request for no Saturday work. All in all, my experience using A.W. Martin was superior. I highly recommend Tony and his company. When I started the repair I had over twenty numbers for contractors on my cell phone. After the job, I am down to four: Russel Garage Door, Rich’s Carpet One, the electrician Tim Murphy, and A.W. Martin, itself."

JA Drywall installed framing and drywall throughout my second floor (three bedrooms + hallway) that had experienced a fair amount of water damage as the result of a leaky roof. Juan and Joshua were great coordinating the project--super quick response time for a walk-through & estimate. And the crew were great---super nice guys who did a great job. (One of them even lent me a tool to help with a project I was working on in the kitchen!) Both my carpenter and painters were impressed with their work. "John was excellent to work with and was very professional.  We were in process of re-doing our MBR walk-in closet and we had removed floor to ceiling mirrors attached to the wall and doors.  I had asked him to put up door trims, re-hang the closet doors, replace the door knobs, help re-finish/restore/sand down the doors and dry-wall (from all the leftover glue) and paint if time permitted (we had purchased a 4 hour deal from Angie's list).  John did a fantastic job completing everything except for the painting because the dry-wall spackle needed to dry over a longer period of time - not a big deal to us since painting will be easy.  John did cut the trims too short, but he took the initiative to run to HD and get replacement door trims.  Everything was in place and cleaned up by the time the 4 hours was up.  Thanks again, John!
