"The Drexel couch and love seat were purchased in 1985 and had never been cleaned. They were dirty but still had beautiful covering on them. We were told that cleaning something as old as our couch may not get all the oil deposited from the skin may not come out. We were fortunate: The couches now look like brand new couches, fresh from the store. Both Stanley Steemer employees, Steven Campbell and Cameron Frickey, worked steadily and thoroughly. They would both be assets to any business. The price was much lower than competitors, many of whom "claimed" to have more powerful equipment, which I seriously doubt. Sometimes the "new kid on the block" such as these upstarts could leave the consumer "high and dry". We chose well selecting Stanley Steemer."

"They were nice enough when we were buying things but they never fixed it. So, I didn't use them the next time I needed tiles."

"Carpets were cleaned in three bedrooms and living room area. The technician was very prompt and polite. I asked in advance how long the job would take and how long the carpets would take to dry. The job was completed in less time than they projected (which always worries me a little). They told me it would take 3-4 hours to dry. However, the carpet was still too wet to walk on 12 hours later and there were still some damp spots 24 hours later. Our carpet is a little thick, but nothing out of the ordinary. They were not able to remove any stains, but I wasn't really expecting that much for the price. My purpose was to get the carpets freshened up a little.
"

"The store has so many items to choose from, it can seem intimidating at first. Fortunately, the staff is patient and walked me through the various options. They also gave me a great deal of practical and decorative advice.
-
The tile crew always arrived on time and worked quickly. The remodeling took just over a week. They were very careful with the furniture and did a fantastic job cleaning up.
-
They removed three layers of flooring in the kitchen, two in the dining room, and one in the living room. laundry room, and hallway. The removal was very thorough and down to smooth foundation. They removed two layers of kitchen backsplash and fixed a kitchen cabinet that was sagging due to age. They removed cracked cultured marble showers, countertops, and sinks.
-
The bathroom floors and shower walls are now ICTC Iris Marmi crosscut porcelain. The shower floors and decorative stripe are beautiful Bati Orient MAMI123 natural stones. Schluter shower kits and niches were installed. One shower has a built-in seat which is perfect for shaving legs and washing dogs.
-
The kitchen backsplash uses Daltile Sandalo ceramic mosaic tiles in 6"x6" squares with 2"x2" colorful tiles inset for decoration. The patterns are custom cut and installed -- they did not come pre-cut, so we were able to chose any pattern we liked.
-
The new floors in the living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and hallway are Florida Tile, Berkshire porcelain in the Hickory color. Everyone who visits thinks they are real wood. They are placed both straight in the living and laundry rooms, and diagonally with a border in the dining room. In the kitchen, they are straight with a diagonal area bordered by diamonds around the island. The doorway thresholds also have diamonds. All of this was custom cut. The new floors make the rooms look much larger, make the ceilings look higher, and add to the cottage/Acadian look of the home. They are impervious to being scratched by my large dog's nails and they also hide shed fur well.
-
We chose quartz countertops for the bathrooms (Santa Margherita - Montana) and kitchen (Hanstone - Coral Mist). They crafted a thick, seamless, rounded edge on the kitchen cabinets which covers some imperfections on the top edge of the 35-year-old wood.
-
The shallow kitchen and bathroom sinks were replaced by deep, under-mounted sinks that look much more modern and are easier to clean. We replaced all sink and shower faucets at the same time and the installation of the new Moen faucets is perfect.
-
The tile floors are completely level. I was able to stop using shims on my bookshelves. The shoe molding is better looking than ever -- they installed it straighter and replaced any pieces that were in poor condition. We have plenty of extra tiles in case we ever need to replace one. They also left us with some spare grout in the proper colors.
-
Basically, they took a worn out, "best of the early 80's" house and turned it into a durable, modern Acadian home that will never go out of style. I can't say enough about their professional manner and attention to detail.
"
