"The entire process was a fiasco. Mike and his team built our deck without checking the ledger board or apparently using a level. Our deck started to sag in the middle and we called his team out to look at it. They did a quick fix which did not resolve the issue. We called Mike and had a brief discussion, and he told us, "I don't know what to tell you". He then hung up on us. We eventually got him to come back out. He had an attitude the entire time. His crew admitted to not checking the ledger board. Our deck is lower on one end and has several areas of buckling. Mike had nothing but excuses. One of his team members offered a solution. They worked on it and left without asking for feedback. Mike never followed up. The deck is still out of whack and we are not satisfied. They also don't use hidden fasteners so there are holes in our no maintenance decking. Mike was completely rude and unprofessional. They built our deck wrong and he made us, the customer, feel like the bad people. His crew also took the dirt from the footings and threw it under our arborvitae bushes. I had to dig it all out by hand. There are a lot of deck builders. Do you research. I wish we had."

"Anthony was on top of the entire project and kept us informed of the entire process. Anthony called ahead to inform us when the dumpster and materials would be delivered a couple of days before the job was supposed to start and when his crew found that the decking on my house needed to be replaced, Anthony contacted our insurance company and got it replaced without any extra work on our part. Anthony's crew replaced the entire roof and four skylights in less than two days. Anthony even came to our house on three separate occasions to run a magnet over our landscape to make sure there were no nails or material left behind that could cause a problem down the road. Would gladly recommend Anthony to all our friends."

"My experience with Designer Spaces has been nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, their proposal seemed solid, and I had high hopes for the project. However, once the contract was signed, everything went downhill. They did start the project a few months after the contract was signed but then left it unfinished so that my patio was unusable for almost a year. They completely ghosted me—ignoring my calls and text messages for months. I was left in the dark, with no idea what was happening or when the work would finish. When Designer Spaces finally bothered to show up to finish they blatantly skipped a part of the job without so much as a heads-up or explanation. Their total lack of communication and disregard for the agreed-upon work is unacceptable. I strongly advise against hiring Designer Spaces. Their unprofessionalism, unreliability, and blatant disregard for their clients’ time and money are appalling. Choosing them was a huge mistake that I deeply regret."

"EXCELLENT. This was a $40K re-do of a 20+ year old original-Trex deck plus an add-on Trex deck. (Project's time of year was March, 2020 - think conavirus-19 turmoil and MN March weather. Project management wise, all process steps were efficiently and effectively planned & executed: on-site materials delivery and trash dumpster came as planned, grounds preparation (crew safety, landscaping protection), post-job cleanup. Bahr's 3-person crew arrived every day before 8 am, "rain or shine." They were pleasant, respectful, amicable - i.e., very professional. Bottom Line: Bahr Construction exceeded expectations, and everyone - homeowners, Bahr's employees and David and Miles, the Bahr Construction management team - can be proud of this job.
