"We shopped around to multiple sources for our kitchen refacing project and were happy that we went with Cabinet Craft. They were pleasant on the phone and invited us down to their showroom where they were even more pleasant in person. They came out for our first review and were professional and gave us a quote the was about $5500 less than anyone else. Just as professional for their final preliminary visit as well. They kept in contact with us during the scheduling period and on the day they were scheduled to start, and every day after, our installer Victor was right on time and was amazing. He answered all of our questions and did little fixes for us to make sure our install was perfect. He kept our kitchen isolated from the rest of the house while he was working so no mess in other parts of the house and each night when he was done working, all of the material and tools were meticulously stored out of our way and the kitchen was cleaned so we could use it at night. At the end of the project, everything was wiped down and cleaned and my garage and driveway where he was working were left cleaner than what they were before he started. He was top notch and I would highly recommend him and Cabinet Craft for a kitchen reface. We just love our new kitchen!!"

"The finished product is beautiful and Yoav did a wonderful job. There were a few issues with the quality of the wood but Yoav has come back several times to touch up some of the woodwork as well as replaced a cabinet door and has assured me that he will return if I am not completely satisfied. I would use him again if I needed to change other cabinets or touch up wood work in my home."

"Mr. Zubia and partner came to give me an estimate. I made it clear that I was seeking other bids. This estimate was on August 26, 2013. I did not hear a word from him within a week and hired other contractors. Three weeks later on September 11, 2013 Mr. Zubia sent me an e-mailed estimate which was not even within the price range of the competing bids PLUS, the materials were not included. <br /> Popcorn ceiling removal (1869 Sq.Ft. home) $4750 and to paint it $1900 extra. I am having that done AND the whole house painted AND kitchen cabinets refinished for $7,000 by a licensed professional paint company. Remember, Zubia's estimate DOES NOT INCLUDE MATERIALS!!!! <br /> Baseboards: $2400 for the whole house. I had the floor guy do them for $1600 <br /> Install 6 new closet doors: $1200. They are about $92 each at Home depot and it involves popping them out and popping in the new ones. My brother in law is doing them for a nice steak dinner. <br /> Install new interior doors and one garage pedestrian door: $1700 (DOES NOT INCLUDE MATERIALS) I am having all 8 replaced AND 3 frames redone: $1175.00 <br /> Facts are here for all to see. All my contractors are licensed folks from Angie's list so it's not like I got the yellow pages handyman for the competing bids. <br /> There were some additional things I asked Zubia to estimate but based on the price comparisons for the jobs I have already hired, i will not invite him to do the work. Sorry Nick, but that's all she wrote. <br />"

"From the estimate to completion our experience with Silverado Construction was perfect. First, when Cody came to our home to give us an estimate, he was totally prepared to show us exactly what we would get with samples of the materials and finishes. He told us it would be about a month before the start of construction and it was a month to the day that they called to schedule the job. The actual construction was completed in one day except for replacing a mirror and medicine cabinet that was accidentally broken during the work. That was replaced in a couple of days. They worked clean and efficiently taking care not to damage any part of our home in the process. They even had my husband sit in the shower to be sure the equipment was located exactly for his needs. Every person we dealt with from beginning to end was polite, professional and friendly. I cannot recommend Silverado Construction highly enough. We are considering a remodel of our master bathroom in the future and I will definitely be contacting Silverado to do that job too."

"Overall the job was done with a few hiccups of delay. The reconstruction of the vanity was a success despite the need to remove parts of the front panel due to the mold. They were able to match the wood color very closely. The lesson we learned was not to ignore a leak under the cabinet. Something small can be very costly. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Cal-nev-ari, NV

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
