"Having recently moved, we reached out to Dennis to discuss options to repair/ redo the driveway to our new house which is fairly steep and had been neglected over the last few years.
Dennis returned my call promptly and was very upfront regarding his capabilities and prices. Upon discussing our issue(s), Dennis came out and took a look at our driveway at no cost. After review, we discussed two options and Dennis gave detailed explanations on the pros and cons of each option.
Once we chose the option we felt would work better for us, Dennis came out to perform the work as scheduled. Dennis dug up the old driveway/ hardpack and installed and compacted the new traffic bond. I have to say, I was expecting quality work and I was not disappointed. The new driveway was a 100% improvement over the old, rutted, disintegrating surface.
I would like to note that I am writing this review at the end of December, 2013, and the driveway has gone through two snow storms and two plowing sessions. As near as I can tell, the surface that Dennis installed is holding up well to the abuse so far, and is a good indication of the quality of work performed. Also, considering the driveway is relatively steeply pitched, I have been pleased with the extremely minimal washout we experienced during the late summer/ fall rains.
I would recommend Dennis to anyone that is looking for quality, reasonably priced driveway work.
"

"WOW! What a GREAT Company!

Recently I contracted Suburban Asphalt Co., Inc. to reseal a 14,000 square foot residential asphalt drive-way. They did an excellent job at a very reasonable price and merit a high recommendation for that alone. Shortly after my job was completed, however, a visitor's automobile leaked a considerable amount of engine oil on my freshly finished surface. To make matters much worse, the car's tires ran over the pool of oil and tracked it for more than 100 feet up the drive. Every few feet there was a tire track. My problems were only beginning, however. I decided to use a liquid product for removing oil from asphalt...unfortunately it removed the black seal as well. Now having a major problem, I phoned Josh at Suburban Asphalt in order to enquire if there was a product that I could purchase to "paint" over the many stains. He immediately informed me that he would send out a technician to repair the problem...AT NO CHARGE! I still am overwhelmed and truly appreciative of that incredible level of customer service!

Before retiring I was the CEO of a service company with hundreds of thousands Wisconsin clients so I believe that I know and can appreciate customer care. Suburban Asphalt Company, Inc., exemplifies the highest standard of customer satisfaction and professional excellence...they should be highly congratulated!

Sincerely,

William C. "First my realtor gave me 5 or 6 cards of home inspectors he said his clients recommended. I was skepital, but that's why I have the angie's list service. After reviewing the reviews and doing some other research, I decided to go with Hensiak. I actually used their website to request an apoinment and someone called me back within a couple of hours. The person doing the scheduling was professional and freindly. They made arrangements with my realtor to setup of the Randon Test a couple days before the inspection so that I would hve all the results on the day of the inspection. A big plus in my mind. I showed up at the house a few minutes early and Doug was already working. He was freindly ad helpful from the beginning. He was thorough and he pointed out and explained everything to me. He answered any question I had. He explained anything he cosidered a defect and what he thought could be done. And the best part is he brought a portal printer and was able to print the report summary right there in te house. By 8 pm that night, I had the complete report email to me with pictures.
The price seemed reasonable with other prices I saw online. In the end though, I thought it was worth the money.
Very pleased with my choice of inspectors.
"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Caledonia, WI

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
