"It went well. They responded promptly to my request for service. Initial inspection of the attic, they believed we had squirrels and a huge birds' nest. They then closed/screened off all entry points. However, once I reported actually seeing a raccoon in the yard, they put out traps and a camera. The raccoon avoided the traps but Mike's Pest Control was persistent, regularly checking the traps and trying different baits. They didn't stop their attempts until the raccoon was caught. If I have any other incidents like this one, I will use them again."

"Someone came out within a day or two. He identified the insects as termites and instilled confidence that the problem could be taken care of. He provided an estimate that I considered reasonable. At first he wanted to drill through the ceramic tile floor, but to avoid that, agreed that the treatment could be inserted through the exterior block walls which were exposed on three sides. They came back within a day or two and completed the job. I was provided with a form that identified the diagnosis and treatment and provided a one year guarantee with renewals at a reasonable price. it was a good document to provide to potential buyers. When he wrote up the invoice, I mentioned that the office had indicated a 10% discount. Without a word of explanation, he said it would be 5%. He had inspected the rest of the house and found no signs of other damage or insects. He mentioned that a HUD form guaranteeing freedom from all wood destroying insects throughout the house could be written up for an additional sum. I went for it but had to call a few times to get it. When I read it, the statement was so qualified that is was more of an alarm than a reassurance for a potential buyer. The aftermath of the work required repainting of the walls, but that was nothing compared to what the replacement of tile with radiant heat under it would have been. Overall I was very satisfied with the work and confident that the house was in sound condition for a new owner."

"I have used all of the major guys from Orkin to Terminix and these guys were more responsive. They were very honest about the pests we had in the area and they were very quick. Working with Terminix, I was actually told one point when I had ants and they told me to go out and buy some ant spray. That is when I gave up on the national guy. I went to a local guy and I looked up to see if he had good references and he did and he has just been great. I have been very pleased. He is less expensive than the national groups. He is very responsive and very honest. He won't sell you stuff that you don't need. When Terminix was trying to sell me termite protection, he came and looked at it after they did and he said where are the termites. Then he went and showed me and he goes well you have regular ants, but they were not termites. He could have gotten whatever. I am not an expert on the bugs, but he has been very good."
