"I called Horizon after moving into a new home in Medway and having no idea what condition the chimney was in. They sent a team out the same day! The guys were great - very friendly and professional. They looked everything over, informed us that one chimney needed to be cleaned but the other did not, and some of the brick work was loose on the fireplace floor. I also requested a chimney cap and they suggested strengthening part of the chimney before installing. They provided an estimate within 24 hours and came out about a week later to do the work. Again, they were completely professional, pleasant and somehow despite cleaning the chimney and doing masonry work, did not create any dust or mess in the house. I was so pleased that I asked them to put us on a yearly schedule for routine cleaning. I highly recommend!"

"These guys are extremely professional, serious about customer service and do great quality work. I had them redo the entire exterior of my home; strip the roof and siding down the bare sheathing, new roof, new siding, new gutters and repair all the fascia. They stripped 3 layers of old roof off and replaced it then stripped half the siding off the house in the first DAY they were there. Everyone in the neighborhood was asking who these guys were and what their phone number was they were so impressed. There were a couple little things here and there that needed to be tweaked and cleaned up since it was such a big job and so much was changed. Every time I reached out to them I got a response back in less than 12 hours and someone was there fixing it within a day or two. They’re incredibly courteous, polite and value their customers. "Back in Nov 2021, Paul Collina of Safe Fire Chimney Service quoted over the phone for inspecting and cleaning the flue of my oil furnace. Paul C. arrived promptly, and covered everything carefully to avoid getting soot on anything in the room. Paul explained everything to me, and was polite and friendly, and honored the verbal quotation. I plan to have him back in summer of 2023 to replace the metal exhaust on the roof."

"John Darling, the company owner, responded promptly to our request for a quote. He gave us great advice about how to go about repairing our front porch that was composed of brick and flagstones; he suggested replacing the brick with bluestone, which was in keeping with our front stair approach to the front walkway. He told us the flagstone walkway and stone wall could be repaired. John arranged for his team members, Brian and JC, to begin work on our schedule. The project went exceedingly well. We were told the work would take 5 days; it took 6 days because of some small issues along the way, e.g. rotted wood where the porch met the house, the mason's delivery truck left an oil spill on our driveway that needed to be removed. They were clean, quiet, respectful, and diligent in their work, and John checked in with us periodically to make sure all was going well. Importantly, once completed, we were charged no more than the estimate John had originally given us for the project, in spite of the additional work. Our new porch is beautiful, and the repaired walkway and stone wall are completely in keeping with the originals. We highly recommend JD Masonry, without reservation!"

"Had a great experience with Downeast Chimney Sweep! The rep was very knowledge and professional. Our home inspector had recommended cleaning and examination of chimney flues. We don’t have a fireplace but were told that it’s important to clean the exhaust flue since we have gas heat. Downeast chimney explained that we have a direct vent gas furnace and since it doesn’t use the chimney, we don’t need to do anything. Did not try to sell us things we don’t need. Highly recommend them!"
