"We wish there was an option for zero stars! This job was messed up from day one. Shorted on concrete they poured in 2 sections, hours apart. It did not work & cracked clean through down the middle. lan inspected & concurred that it was not fixable. He promised to come out at the start of the 2025 concrete season to tear it out and re-pour. We were patient even when he told us in April he wasn?t working yet. (The dates of these reviews show that was a lie.) He stopped taking our calls, so we called from an unfamiliar number. He answered, lied again about not working yet but ?scheduled? us for July 6th. He no-showed. We trusted a friend?s recommendation along with positive reviews but learned in small claims court they aren?t legit and no longer even have a business license. We won a judgement against him but it will be very hard to collect. Be warned, he may be capable of good work, but if he messes up he will not fix it. We are left with an unusable patio. This company is unethical."

"Josh did my patio 2014 and gave me 5 years warranty on cracks and sealer. Once I called so he can fix he blocked all communication. And I have been trying to call him for the past 2 years with no reply at all. My patio is cracking and the color faded after one year"

"Overall, I am not satisfied with Hastings and Sons Concrete and recommend using caution before signing any contract with this company. They agreed to perform the job as I requested, however throughout the process they changed how they performed the job. Examples: They still have not provide the diagram with measurement (depth, width, length, and location) for the four pillars they installed after several requests. Without this diagram, I do not know if the pillars are to code. They said they would use expansion joints and used none. Said they would use saw cuts and changed to control joints. Said the patio would be even with door ways, but during installation they said based on code they could not do what the sales rep agreed to. I had to identify that they did not use rebar in one section of the patio, then they added rebar after it was brought to their attention. I also identified that the gravel base was not hard compacted as the mobile dump machine was sinking into the gravel and got suck several times, however Mr. Hastings continued pouring the concrete anyway. I do not believe I saw the whole contract on the computer tablet; after signing, they printed me a copy so I could read the whole contract and I would not have sign or used this contractor if I had been able to read all the terms and conditions beforehand. Their brochure states a 99.9% customer satisfaction rate, after researching this company this does not appear true. The only positive thing is that they were quick to complete the job the next day, minus providing the agreed upon diagrams."

"They were very helpful and which giving me various options for the service. They did a very good job . They came informed for answering all my questions. They did very good job of prepping the area and they are very quick and laying with concrete and came back many times to check on it on what need to do on maintain the driveway. So I would certainly recommend them. They were very reasonable prices, high quality and very professional."

"Jamie and Brad painted the interior of our entire 4 bedroom house. The job was big, but was finished in 5 days. They were here promptly at the time they stated they would be on all 5 days and worked 8 hours each day to complete the job in a timely manner. They did a great job and also offered to do other work needed in our home at very reasonable prices. We will call on Jamie/J E Construction for future work on our home as they do it all! "Smiling wide and looking professional when they pulled along outside of my house. My very first impression of these guys was they look great they come prepared and ready to work. I had a nice conversation with Braxton the owner of the company and I told him what I wanted and how I would like it. The man did a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable and confident with this job. That?s just the beginning as they start to tear in and get down to business you can really tell that these guys care about the customer and care about the work that they leave needless to say I was 100% completely satisfied and happy with this company I will definitely be telling my friends and family about them and if I ever need anything concrete work again they will be the guys I call !!!
