"We hired Hurley Design Group for a major landscaping project that included building two retaining walls (one in the front yard and one in the backyard), planting multiple trees, adding landscape stone, and leveling and resurfacing our backyard. From start to finish, Luke's work was absolutely impeccable. The craftsmanship on both retaining walls was outstanding, and the overall transformation of our yard exceeded our expectations. He was professional, punctual, and kept the job site clean throughout the entire process. Very easy to communicate with and clearly took pride in doing the job the right way. We are extremely happy with the outcome and the quality of their work. I would absolutely hire Hurley Design Group again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-tier landscaping and concrete services."

"I had nature stone come to my home for a garage floor estimate.  Their price was more than double estimates from Rhino Flooring & Columbus Garage Floor Coating.  The product is beautiful but requires periodic re-sealing.  Re-sealing would require me to move everything out of my garage, which is not something I'm not interested in doing. <br /> Estimator also committed a monumental error when he offered me a substantial discount if I would sign a contract that day, which is always a red flag. <br /> Again, a beautiful product...but not the best for garages.  I felt the other two companies provided a better product at a better price. <br />"

"This was a unique circumstance for the extremely wet area. The house foundation (footer) was directly on top of uneven sandstone as was the majority of the floor; along with a fair amount of mud. This also led to difficulties with 'cutting' a channel to accommodate the drain and gravel, as well as the Polydrain (the footer was taller than normal basements). However, the crew was able to overcome these issues; it just took an extra day (for one person, not the entire crew). Two sumps had to be installed due to the design of the house; these pits had to be chiseled out of solid sandstone, mind you. This also meant two drain outlets had to be installed after exiting the house, one of which had to go under a sidewalk. The crew was always polite, taking time to answer my questions and concerns. The work they did was absolutely fantastic. The attention to details was the best I have seen in quite some time from a company contracted for a specific job -- and I've dealt with many contractors. Not only did they take away the material chiseled out from the basement, they did the same for excess dirt after trenching for the discharge pipe -- and they even put down coated grass seed over the new trenches. One of the outlets had to go under a deck; both through flower gardens. When they were done, you would never had known what they had to move, or remove, to have access to those areas. I had several outfits -- both local and regional/national -- come out to give estimates and was most impressed by Engineered Foundation Solutions from the onset. They were slightly higher on cost estimate than the others, but you truly get what you pay for in this case. The knowledge they exhibited from the estimator alone put some of the other companies to shame. He even found a water source under the footer that no other company saw. I cannot stress how impressed I was with this company's crew and the work they performed. I would use them again, and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone with a water problem in their basement!"

"Phil and his crew were great. Phil came out in person to estimate the job--he got back to me in email within a week. Phil was so busy with other customers I had to be flexible to fit into his schedule but I didn't mid since it gave me time to clean out the garage. Phil's crew came out for a total of two days. First day was prep (grind concrete, fill cracks, caulk seams) and 1st coat (epoxy), along with decorative/non-slip flakes. Phil arrived separately and supervised too. Second day was installation of new drain cover & paint around that area, clean excess/loose flakes, and apply second coat (polyurethane), plus caulk any outside seams near the entrance to the garage. Phil collected payment later in the week and inspected. We kept off of the garage floor 3 days and just walked on it. We waited until 7 days later to move things back in and park cars in garage. Looks great, hope it holds the moisture out--so far so good..."

"Contracted for polyaspartic floor covering. We liked the look of the floor and the shorter drying time over other floor coating systems. The work involved sanding the concrete to help the coating adhere to the surface. They used a collection bag during the sanding so there was little dust during this step. Each remaining step was accomplished in a similar professional manner. Total application took about 7 hours. We were told we could walk on the floor in 4 hours after they left, but we waited until the next day and didn’t park in the garage for 48 hours. The floor is exactly as we hoped it would be and is a great improvement over the plain concrete."

"I contacted Chuck yesterday after finding him doing a Google search for a detailer who could get me in quick and he was out to home first this this morning. I've been having some kind of allergic reaction to something in my car has been making me itch, in addition to me being a body butter kind of girl, let just say he had his work cut out for him (if that's the phrase) And they did an exceptional job. All the oil on my seats, salt on my mats...They did real good. Will definitely call Chuck again"

"After a horrible experience with another concrete contractor, we needed someone to step in and complete a job. Andy was recommended by the pool company where we purchased our inground pool. From the minute that we contacted Andy, he was compassionate, understanding, helpful and professional! He came out the next available day to look at the project and talk about what we needed done. He never used this opportunity to put the other company down for his personal gain. He was respectful and focused on what he could offer to help us. Andy provides insight, suggestions and other ideas to get the look I wanted for my budget. We ended up not using him for the job ONLY because he wasn’t able to get to our jobs for a couple weeks (Which was totally understandable at our last minute request) and another company could start 3 days later. Even after telling Andy that we were going another route due to timing, he still reached out to make sure things were going okay, and to offer his expertise to make sure that our contractor knew how to do the coping correctly. A stand-up guy, for sure! I will not hesitate to contact Andy again and use him in the future! I wish all contractors were like Andy!"

FAQs for concrete floor coating apply projects in Canonsburg, PA

Epoxy flooring is a two-part coating made from synthetic resins and a hardener that bonds to concrete to create a continuous, durable surface. Once cured, the coating resists impacts, moisture, and most household chemicals, making it a practical choice for garages, basements, and workshops. It also creates a uniform, easy-to-clean finish that looks more polished than bare concrete without requiring ongoing waxes or sealers.

With proper care and maintenance, solvent-based and solid residential epoxy flooring can last 10 to 20 years, while water-based epoxy flooring lasts three to five years. Water-based epoxy is less durable, making it more susceptible to regular wear and tear. Commercial epoxy concrete flooring that experiences heavy foot traffic may only last two to three years.

Maintaining epoxy garage floors is relatively easy. You can sweep up dirt and debris with a broom, dustpan, or vacuum cleaner, then use a mild cleaning solution intended for epoxy floors to scrub away stains. Avoid using soap-based or chemical cleaners. Mopping an epoxy garage floor regularly with warm water can do the trick.
