"I recently hired Pool Cage Mechanics to fix a problem with my super gutter that I had from the day I bought the house 2 years ago.  It had been poorly constructed and every time it rained the water overflowed my gutter, went all over my deck and the deck
would then flood.  Paul and Jason came up with a great design for a solution.  They did a great job installing the new super gutter and they fixed my problem.  I was also impressed when one of their crews showed up after finishing another job. The crew went instantly to work cleaning up the job site and helping Paul and Jason finish the job.  Nobody was standing around or wasting time.  They were all very professional.  They were also pleasant to interact with and polite. These guys specialize in pool cage repairs; if you need work done on your pool cage they are the best!  I am completely happy with the Pool Cage Mechanics and I highly recommend them.

"Grand Improvement and Construction did major, major renovation to my Stony Brook house, essentially the whole house was renovated: a new kitchen, two and a half new bathrooms, a laundry room, two rooms combined into a master bedroom, new staircase, central AC installed, finishing an unfinished room etc. etc.  My wife and I talked about renovating the house for a long time but never did it. Sadly my wife died suddenly, and I was left to have the renovations done myself.  I used her life insurance to pay for the work. My brother helped with the plans and I hired a person to help me with all the decisions as to fixtures, appliances etc.  Gary was recommended by someone I knew from work and the recommendation was confirmed by his stellar Angie's list recommendations.   Gary did much of the work himself with a skilled assistant and several general workers.  Gary did all the construction and the plumbing and all the tile work.  He also served as the general contractor to manage the hiring of the AC installers, the painter, the electrical work, the staircase and railing construction and installation the wood floors etc.  These people appear to have worked with Gary for many years.  He was always at the house to supervise their work.  I am completely satisfied with the renovations.  Gary is extremely knowledgeable and innovative with all aspects of home renovations and has very high standards for quality work.   There were many times, that Gary’s standards were much higher than my own.  It would have been very easy for a person to have taken advantage of my somewhat limited knowledge about home renovations.  The final costs were very close to the original written estimates, we decided on several upgrades as the job progressed. Gary treated the work as if he was renovating his own home.  He and his coworkers were also completely honest with respect to all my possessions.  I can recommend Grand Improvement and Construction without reservation.  The cost was for the entire job ~80K went to GI&C"
