"James and Peter at Apex excavated a six foot door and built an egress stairwell from my basement. Their work is beautiful and my neighbors continue to stop by and ohh and ahh at the finished product. I love looking out through my beautiful French doors and seeing a grand stairwell with carefully crafted molded brick walls. James and Peter, carefully chose and aged the brick on the exterior to match the rest of the house. It’s seamless and the comment I get over and over again from neighbors is “it not only looks like it was always part of the house, it looks better than our walk up.” The project went smoothly. James amd Peter were extremely professional - transparent on costs and timelines for work. The only surprises were good ones on how well it came together. I truly love my new basement entrance. "We had a patio installed in our backyard. We met Bill from Sharper Cut at a home improvement show in Upper Marlboro. He was very professional from the beginning and scheduled a follow up meeting for us to come out and meet with him on that day. Before we had the meeting, he came out to the property to take pictures and see the layout. We had previously had a drawing which we sent him ahead of time. When we met with him, he had prepared several different options for a patio, including landscape. He listened intently to what we wanted and implemented it, including the seating wall, pillars and lights. He was very patient, showed the designs, modified them based on our questions and requests, and explained things very clearly. When there was a delay with a stone that we originally chose for the patio, he had us choose another stone to our liking, without making any adjustments to the price. The crew that did the work, showed up timely and were extremely professional. They would have been completed on time but got delayed because of rain storms that soaked the yard. However, as soon as it dried up they came out and finished the project. We are extremely pleased with the patio and all of our neighbors that come and see it, absolutely love it. "The team from Bright did an excellent job. They arrived on time or early, let themselves into the backyard where the job site was, and worked non-stop all day. They kept the work area tidy and cleaned up each evening before leaving. They worked in 100 degree heat 9 hours a day until they finished the project and brought in additional help as needed. They are the most professional, courteous, and quality-oriented team we have ever worked with. They have done 5 or 6 masonry projects for us and each one was absolutely perfect.
