"The project consisted of a full bathtub replacement, shower wall tiling, floor tiling, light/fan installation, and some wall damage repairs. Since we had him here for tiling the bathroom we also had a mud area to the back deck tiled as well. John was great from start to finish. He was very responsive when we contacted him. He was up front and straight forward when we hit snags in the project and I always felt that he had our best interest at heart and was willing to do what was needed to make us feel happy and good about our choice to have him do the work. When the tub was removed, he found some mold and water damage in the wall behind the tub and the floor. He was able to roll with the punches and include replacing the floor for us without serious timeline or budget setbacks. "Went very smoothly! I did a lot of research and compared prices of several transportation companies. I found that United Freight's rates were extremely competitive and were one of the very few companies that could guarantee a three-window in which the vehicle would be shipped. Their online tools could use some updating but I got my down payment receipt and document copies all emailed to me which I appreciated. I would have liked a message letting me know they had picked up the vehicle, but the dealership let me know. I was notified when the delivery was an hour away and when they arrived at my location. Overall, I wanted an insured company that could safely transport my vehicle in a timely manner and they did exactly that. My car was scratch-free and looked flawless. "We had a great experience with Eric and his team. I contacted him on a Saturday. He arrived at my home on Monday and I had an estimate on Tuesday. I had contacted two other contractors I found on AL and ultimately choose to go with Able Hands. I like what Eric had to say in terms of his plan for executing on what I needed done and was comfortable with the price. Looking at my list or repairs, it may seem that this was a simple job. I can assure you it was not. The simple list of repairs doesn't tell the whole story. The sills on the sun porches are 3 windows wide. They had been damaged by years of neglect from a large pine tree that caused a gutter overflow (previous owner). The railings were a few inches from where the should have been due to settling. My home is 100+ years old to give you an idea of what we were dealing with. Eric booked a whole week to work on my home. He arrived when he said he would, and he finished on time. He and his team are polite, considerate and work hard. They do a great job. They took their time, paid attention and didn't rush anything. What impressed me most was the fact that they all really thought about the work they were doing.  Eric made custom supports for the railings on my 100+ year old home that looked like they have been there since it was build. He came to us with an idea for the the color scheme on the exterior trim of our home and we loved it. It really makes the work pop and added a nice touch. Small details on the home were painted even though we hadn't explicitly discussed it and it made a big difference.  The job site was cleaned up and closed up every day (especially important with small kids at home). His price never changed. My wife and I are very happy with the project as a whole and will be using Eric and his team in the future. I highly recommend Able Hands, Inc. <br />"

"I called the number after seeing his review on Angie's List.  I got a recording.  They called later, but I was out.  They called again in the morning & explained what I needed.  Lou showed up at 4 pm - he had just finished another job and was on his way home.  We spent 15-20 minutes walking around the property while I explained what I wanted.  He repeated everything back and asked questions, and made suggestions.  In the end, we were both clear on what I wanted.  I went back inside while he took about ten minutes to determine his estimate.  Estimate: $460. <br /> <br /> He said it would take about a day (7-8 hours) depending on the weather.  [You must understand, this was just after Lee & Marie had just flooded about everything in NE Pa.  Also, it continued to rain every day.  This is now the wettest September on record.) <br /> <br /> He began immediately, since it was only about 4:30 pm.  He came two other times for part of the day and we were completely rained out on another day.  So, all told, it took four days working between cloud bursts. <br /> <br /> It looks beautiful.  My yard went from looking like Africa USA to neat and trim!  Final Cost: $460. <br /> <br /> I was so happy with the work that I discussed another project I have in mind, but didn't know how to proceed.  Lou suggested pavers, which I never thought of, and I knew immediately that was the answer I had been looking for.  I told him right on the spot that I what him to put me on his "To Do" list.  Due to the weather, etc., I told him I didn't care whether it was two weeks from now or next Spring.  <br /> <br /> I highly recommed this man."

"Roof crew arrived but was not aware of contract. They repaired rotting plywood and applied quality shingles. The contract called for water/ice dam protection on all wall joints. This was not done, so they had to come back  to fix. Attempts to inform crew in-progress of their mistake was not possible due to language barrier.  However, Blakeslee was extremely responsive every issue, with appropriate fixes.  Gutters and covers went without any issues, and are quality products.  Their attention to  customer satisfaction without any hesitation are what make  my overall experience so high. <br />"
