"Our experience with Indiana Crawl Space Repair was excellent. They presented a plan and we were under no pressure to accept, but we are glad we did. The crew worked hard everyday to complete the job as scheduled. They did an excellent job in repairing our floors and crawl space. I wouldn’t hesitate at all recommending this company for your crawl space repair needs. Good job!"

"I hired them after a friend recommend them and also after looking them up on Angie's List. Everything turned out excellent and both technicians who came out were great. They cleaned up well after the job was complete.. In comparison to other companies, they may charge just a little more, but they provide great quality of service. They provide great customer service!"

"They got in touch with the insurance company and told them this one that I had was too old and rusty and I needed a new one. The insurance company gave them no flack. They went and bought it and put it in. The installation went really well for me. The insurance company sends the plumbers, but if I had to pay myself I still would use them."

"Our cold water shut-off valve behind the washing machine had begun to leak.  The plumber came the next day, on time, and did an excellent job replacing both the hot and cold valves, quickly, and even offered to hook up the new supply hoses I'd bought.  We called him again a couple weeks later to install a new kitchen faucet.  Again, timely and excellent work.  In each case the cost was very reasonable, lower than I'd expected."

"It went great! They did the job while we were out of town fora few days. When we arrived home the job was complete. They had to remove our fence to get the backhoe in our backyard to get the job done. They removed and put it back. Also they did scratch a little part of our siding which we didn't even notice but they came back and fixed it after having to find siding that matched! After it was all done I was highly satisfied with the job and would recommend them to anyone needing any plumbing work done. <br />"

"Both projects went extremely well. Quality and professionalism were great, projects were completed promptly. Pricing was fair, and amount quoted was the same is price invoiced. My only comments for improvement are that I needed to contact them multiple times for a schedule of work, and the invoices were received already "past due" for both contracts."

"We contacted Crawlspace Doctor and were blessed to get Dave Tarrence & his crew. Ours was not an easy job since the crawlspace was super narrow on the west end but they did a super job and at a great price when compared to the other companies we had contacted. We have a 40+ year old double wide trailer and when I say there was a lot of debri under it, that would be an understatement but it looks great now. We were also impressed by the crew at how quickly & efficiently they worked and by nice they all are. They also cleaned up the work site which is a plus in our book. Dave and his crew are super nice folks."

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Carlisle, IN

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
