"I called and spoke with Minnie (I believe that's correct!) on Tuesday the 12th of this month. She was very pleasant and took down all the info regarding what was going on with the dryer, my name, address, etc. and told me that the repair tech would come the next day, Wednesday 11/13/13, between 1 and 3 pm. <br /> Sure enough, Adam arrived at 1:30. He drove up in a nice-looking white Ford van with some logos and the name of the company on it. When he got out, he looked me square in the eye with a smile, introduced himself and shook my hand. He was neatly groomed and made a great appearance. <br /> I took him to the laundry room, which is a tight fit, but he said it was no problem at all. He listened to my description of what had happened and set right to work on the dryer. First thing he checked was if the vent was blocked on the outside, which it wasn't, and he pulled some dried lint out of there. <br /> Then he tested the voltage into the dryer, and began testing components, finding that the fuse was open, so he told me what the repair would run and when I agreed, he went to the van to see if he had the parts on board. <br /> Lucky me - he DID! So he went about replacing the fuse and the high-limit thermostat, as they come packaged in pairs (which I already knew from doing some internet shopping when I THOUGHT I might be able to fix it myself!) and before long - my dryer was working! <br /> Adam also spent a good deal of time cleaning out the inside of the dryer cabinet, including the lint trap, and showed me how I could do that occasionally. <br /> I wrote the check, Adam thanked me, and off he went. <br /> I would not hesitate to call Adam for any appliance repair. He told me he does refrigerators, ovens, washers, dryers, microwaves, etc. I was very pleased with everything. The only very minor complaint I might have is that the repair ran a little more than expected, but then - what doesn't these days? :) <br />"

"On March 7, 2018, I needed to have the feeder line for the hot water to a claw-foot tub in a very old house re-piped from the floor level to the faucet since there was a small leak. I researched various plumbers and contacted Ivan after seeing the very positive reviews here and was impressed by the user-friendliness and overall friendliness conveyed by his website. He responded to my e-mail very quickly and was able to stop-by to do an assessment within an hour since he was just finishing another job nearby. He did a thorough assessment of the re-piping job and clearly communicated the nature of the problem and my options for this repair. The price he quoted for the job was fair given he would be re-piping very old piping with quite a bit of corrosion. He expertly and efficiently installed a new valve and feeder line and was very sensitive to my preferences. His did such a good job that I asked for a quote for a couple smaller tasks that I had planned on doing myself--- replacing an S-trap on the kitchen sink and installing a new shower head. He was willing to be flexible on price, and we settled on a reasonable price. The price approximate cost of the service I have listed in this review includes all the work he did on this visit. He then did a quality repair quite efficiently, but he also even took the initiative to fix a few other small aspects of the old plumbing on his own initiative at no extra charge! I highly recommend Ivan for his quality work, reasonable pricing, good communication skills, and very friendly and helpful nature. I was quite impressed, and I am not impressed easily. He has been a plumber for 20-years but only recently moved to the Bay Area and deserves, in my opinion, to get a chance to grow his quality business. By the way, although he is based in Capitola, he is more than happy to work in the Santa Clara Valley as well as Monterey County."

"Wow! I am one happy girl. We got an old O'Keefe and Merritt gas stove that wasn't working. We restored and cleaned all parts before trying to put it back together. We were successful with 2 of the burners, but the stove wouldn't light. Fast forward 2 years of turning the gas on and off every time we wanted to cook something. <br /> We found Rod earlier this week and scheduled an appointment. I didn't have any hope of him actually being able to make it work. <br /> He just left our house and the stove and grill-evator are now working for the first time for us!
