"John came out to inspect our crawlspace and let us know if we had water incursion. He was very honest and thorough and let us know that we did not in fact have evidence of significant water incursion into our crawlspace. He did not feel that we needed any repairs to our crawlspace but offered advice on maintaining our sump pump to avoid issues in the future. I will definitely recommend American Crawlspace Solutions to others and use them in the future for any issues that come up in our crawlspace."

"They were able to respond to my call the same day. Within an hour of my calling them they called back to let me know the service men were on the way. In less than 2 hours they had the pipe repaired better than the original plumbing. Their fix is meant to insure that the pipe will not break again (this was the second time this particular pipe broke due to the builders work). I was worried that they would have to tear up or somehow damage the landscaping where the water main is, however they dug the hole and did the repair work without any effect on the landscaping at all. They were very courteous and took the time to look at the other plumbing in my basement and point out a couple of other things the builder should have done and suggested they be fixed at some point. Not only did they repair the broken pipe, they went above and beyond what I expected by moving a pile of wood that got soaked and swept out the water in my basement as a result of the leak. Overall I was very happy with their service and expected to pay a lot more than I did for the repair. <br />"

"Our basement has been leaking forever, probably since the house was originally built. Every time it would rain hard, water would seep in between the foundation walls and basement slab. After a hard rain, I would vacuum up 15-20 gallons of water with my wet/dry vacuum. We had a landscaping and irrigation company put in french drains to deflect rainwater, which didn't help at all. I called a few local companies but none *specialized* in basement waterproofing, so I called two larger regional companies to get quotes. We called AquaGuard and BDry, and got a quote from each. Both seemed professional, both had great financing options, but BDry came in significantly lower in price. Almost half the price of AquaGuard's proposal. We went with BDry. They completed the waterproofing in about 2 days, were very professional, and cleaned up pretty well when they left. It's been over six months since we had the basement waterproofed, and we haven't had a drop of water in the basement since. Now that we are confident the basement won't leak, we started finishing the basement. Plumbers cut the concrete to move drain lines for a toilet and shower, and accidentally cut into the BDry drain lines. BDry gave me an entire section of the corrugated drain and piece to connect it so my plumber could fix it, and they didn't charge me a dime. Their service is awesome, and I would recommend them to anyone with basement waterproofing services."

"When my dog chewed up our sump pump's power cord in the middle of a very rainy spell a few months ago, Carson Plumbing responded quickly. Not only did they fix it, they ran the cord through a piece of PVC pipe so my dog couldn't put on a repeat performance. We have also used Carson to fix a septic tank pipe and install a new water heater. They always do great work at a reasonable price."

"The workmanship is great, honest and friendly team. We love the system and enjoy having a home filter system for chemical free water. We do not buy bottle water anymore and it saves us a lot of money too! It is well worth the investment."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Carnesville, GA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
