"We have lived in this house about a year.  (The house is 12 years old).   When we bought the house the inspection report noted that there were cracks in the masonry due to normal settlement.  The inspection report noted that these should be repaired to prevent water penetration.  Doug did a full inspection of the exterior of the house to locate all cracks in bricks and masonry.
It went very well.  All the work done was outside we had a couple of delays due to weather - Severe thunderstorms.
Doug and his crew arrived on time and had all the work done in short order.
The job site was cleaned up and my back porch was much cleaner after they left than it was before they started!

The work was completed as scheduled. The additional work on the chimney was identified by owner after the original visit. James was able to work in the additional work on the same day as the steps. "The fireplace looks amazing and works as intended. Alex did a consult at our home and fully described the unit and process. The crew that did the installation was professional and courteous. They were also very careful to make sure they cleaned up after themselves. Other contractors that we got pricing from told us they would not be able to save the stone around the insert. Because the new insert was slightly larger than our old insert, Alex's crew had to cut the stone before they could reinstall it but they did it and it looks really good. Although we had a couple appointments set up for the install which the contractor missed, the final product turned out how I wanted it. I would use Queen City Fireplace again."

"The quality of the work performed was excellent. I am very pleased with the appearance of the replaced section of my driveway The front steps now look as good as new, as well. The cost exceeded the initial estimate, but I have to give them a pass on that, as there were some real surprises during removal of the old concrete (no grade preparation was done for the original driveway, just concrete poured over uneven ground, so in places it was 4" thick, and in others about 12" thick, making removal very difficult). Carlos Concrete did a good job with leveling the site and placing stone over the ground before pouring, and that should result in a better driveway long-term. My only reservation was a delay in removing the tree roots excavated from the site before pouring the new driveway section. They were professional and friendly."
