"Simply cannot brag enough about the high quality of EVERY encounter with every member of the Phipps Masonry team. Starting with the very informative person who returned my initial call within 5 minutes around 6pm to set up an appt to evaluate the project with Joseph. The Evaluation was also very informative about the repair approach and time needed. Two projects will be described below 1) larger project repairing a buckling 25 yr old brick privacy wall connected to a long retaining wall in the community 2) restoration of residential steps and exterior wall mortar section: Within 3 business days, a quote was provided and the work scheduled about 10 days later. Mike is outstanding at Masonry restoration! He made the front steps on the residence look like new, removing 25 year old failing mortar and replacing with an Artisan's skill to detail. He did the same with some sections scattered over an exterior wall, completely bringing it back to like-new quality. Referred him to our community also for a bigger project of repairing an aging brick wall & columns and structural support components. Dane led the masonry and rebuilding team and this project was executed with complete knowledge and professionalism at every step. Extremely pleased with this larger project also and will be calling on Phipps Masonry for further work in our community. Very happy with the repairs and overall quality of the work performed by Doug and his team of employees.  Sections of the walkway were heavily molded and had become a safety concern.  Doug's team restored the red bricks to "like new" condition.  The pressure washing, however identified sections of the walkway set in concrete that required repair.  Doug and his team removed all the damaged grout and replaced it before re-sealing the walkway at the end of the project.  Doug took before and after pictures of the damaged chimmey to demonstrate to me the extent of the repairs.  Doug and his team were meticulous in making sure that the work area was neat and maintained.  They left the worksite in better condition then when they arrived.  The job took a total of two days to complete."

"The paint job has been very good.  I've gotten compliments on the color and how good it looks.  I told them the color paint I wanted, but when they came back it wasn’t the right shade.  They were very nice about it and they went back and changed it out.  I paid extra to have them paint the doors, but they didn’t replace the fixtures on the door because they wanted the paint to dry.  I went to put the towel rack on and found that it was broken.  I called him and told him but he said he didn’t know anything about it, it must have been his help.  He offered to come replace it, but I did it myself.   He left some belongings here and I called to tell him.  But to this day, he has not picked them up.  Their work was good.  They came back and touched up some areas and were very polite.  It’s just the little things. "

"We had received a quote from BNM a year prior and had planned work to start about a month later.  Unfortunately, our life got in the way and the days slipped by until we were back where we started.... getting ready to decorate for the holidays and looking at yucky walls. 
My husband contacted them again on 12/18/12 and requested service as soon as possible.  They worked us in and started two days later, the day before Thanksgiving, and finished the day after Thanksgiving.  They were so flexible and accommodating, they even offered to work part of Thanksgiving Day but we, of course, declined to have them spending their holiday working in our home.  
What can I say about the finished work.... it was fabulous!  They met and then exceeded my expectations.  They kept a neat, clean job site and cleaned up after themselves.  Of course there was a bit of drywall dust but less than I expected and much less than previous people left while performing this type of service.  They even fixed spots on the ceiling where a previous painter did a not-so-terrific job.
In summary, Bryan and Mary are terrific people.  I would love to hire them again -- I'm already thinking of having other rooms painted because it looks so much better.  I would absolutely recommend BNM Painting.
