"Guillermo and his crew just finished painting the entire interior and partial exterior of my two-story home. They did a beautiful job. Ben was helpful during the estimate process and very involved while the work was being done, providing clarification and direction to the painters. I would hire them again."

"Doug came out to review and provide estimate on work.  He worked with us to schedule as quickly as possible knowing we were working to get house on the market for sale, even calling us to pull in the work date when an opening became available.  He and his crew were on time/ early on day of work and did an excellent job.  Every effort was made to keep the repaired areas in colors to blend with existing materials so the repairs are not noticeable.  We were especially impressed with Doug's responsiveness and communication as we scheduled the work.  He has also come out to do a few touch-ups we had not noticed when the original work was done.  We would definitely recommend Courtney Masonry to anyone needing repairs, pressurewashing or new masonry work."

"The paint job has been very good.  I've gotten compliments on the color and how good it looks.  I told them the color paint I wanted, but when they came back it wasn’t the right shade.  They were very nice about it and they went back and changed it out.  I paid extra to have them paint the doors, but they didn’t replace the fixtures on the door because they wanted the paint to dry.  I went to put the towel rack on and found that it was broken.  I called him and told him but he said he didn’t know anything about it, it must have been his help.  He offered to come replace it, but I did it myself.   He left some belongings here and I called to tell him.  But to this day, he has not picked them up.  Their work was good.  They came back and touched up some areas and were very polite.  It’s just the little things. "

"We had received a quote from BNM a year prior and had planned work to start about a month later.  Unfortunately, our life got in the way and the days slipped by until we were back where we started.... getting ready to decorate for the holidays and looking at yucky walls.
My husband contacted them again on 12/18/12 and requested service as soon as possible.  They worked us in and started two days later, the day before Thanksgiving, and finished the day after Thanksgiving.  They were so flexible and accommodating, they even offered to work part of Thanksgiving Day but we, of course, declined to have them spending their holiday working in our home.
What can I say about the finished work.... it was fabulous!  They met and then exceeded my expectations.  They kept a neat, clean job site and cleaned up after themselves.  Of course there was a bit of drywall dust but less than I expected and much less than previous people left while performing this type of service.  They even fixed spots on the ceiling where a previous painter did a not-so-terrific job.
In summary, Bryan and Mary are terrific people.  I would love to hire them again -- I'm already thinking of having other rooms painted because it looks so much better.  I would absolutely recommend BNM Painting.

"Wonderful experience!! My husband and I were remodeling our master bathroom and needed to remove wallpaper, paint the walls and trim. We also had a few spots that needed to be patched. Michael had great pricing, he showed up early each day, worked hard and the quality of work was excellent!! He is very skilled in his profession. We had a lot of wallpaper and I was shocked that he got all of it off the walls in 3 hours!! He had clean lines with all the paint, made sure the floors and everything else were covered and protected and cleaned up everyday. A true professional! We are so happy with the work Michael did; our bathroom looks like a luxury new bathroom now. I will absolutely be calling on him again for more painting work in the future and will also be referring him to my friends and family. Thank you Michael!!"

"I purchased a Big Deal for some work in connection with remodeling my kitchen.  When I spoke to the company, it turned out the project was too big for them.  That was ok because they said that I could use the Big Deal coupon another time.  About a month ago, I received a reminder call from this company asking if I wanted to stay on their customer list for 2013.  I was impressed that they called me rather than let me remain idle and possibly lose the benefit of the coupon (this is why I am not rating them lower than a C/D).  I have a 10 x 12 room that needs painting and asked if I could apply the coupon toward that job (the coupon excludes plumbing, electrical, HVAC -- but does not mention painting one way or the other).  I was told that I could use the coupon for this job and would get another call to schedule the work.  I did not receive another call so I called again.  During this second call, I was told my coupon does not include painting.  He said that even though my coupon DID include painting when I bought it, the company no longer offers painting as a service when members buy the Big Deal coupons.  Naturally, I was not terribly happy as I had been told just a day or two earlier that they would paint the room, but that appeared not to matter.  The explanation I received was that some other women who purchased the Big Deal for a paint job ended up using it for a $1000 job and they lost money (naturally, this makes no sense because the coupon explicitly states that it is for a set number of hours, after which the customer would have to pay the regular rate for the job).  After this call, I phoned Angie's List and explained what happened.  Angie's List investigated and informed me that the "no paint" restriction was false -- this company's present coupons do not exclude paint, only plumbing and electrical work (as mine does).  In light of my frustration, Angie's List agreed to apply the cost of my coupon toward another company's Big Deal.  That company is coming out next week to paint the room.

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Catawba, SC

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
