"I contacted Richard from Lions Fence as he originally placed my privacy fence over 15 years ago.  The fence has been such a blessing both for privacy and for the many family dogs we have had who enjoyed the freedom of roaming the 1/2 acre yard.  Due to water damage from a flooded back yard, a large Oak tree limb, and the recent snow, I had a few sections of this fence go down.  This caused a problem for the family dog who now had to stay in for long periods of time as I work at a hospital in DC.  Richard quickly responded!  He gave me a great price on repairs and he promptly came out and got the fence back up and good as new. I still remember Lions building my fence over 15 years ago.  The craftsmanship was grand and the product strong.  I have done absolutely nothing to maintain this fence since it went up.  It was a great investment.  This is the first problem that I have had with my fencing and it was caused by other extreme factors.  I expect it will be another 15 years before I need to call Richard again.   <br /> When the fence section went down my neighbor called a couple local companies out and got quotes on the repair for me. "I did a competition on replacing our basement door, reviewing both the solution for a Signet Door and including price installed. After reviewing several solutions from several top rated companies, we decided that On the Level Contracting (OTL) (Peter Psihas) had the best solution for the outside trim with a 12 9/16” Frame Depth. I than went to the 3 lowest bidders (including OTL) with the final configuration to ensure everyone was bidding on the same configuration. After receiving the 3 final bids from top rated companies, OTL had the lowest price. After Peter ordered the door from ProVia, Peter provided me the estimated date he would be receiving the door from Provia. When the door was received Peter notified me and worked with me to schedule the installation date based upon our availability. The installation team from OTL arrived in the schedule time, verified they had the correct door prior to starting the work and did an excellent job installing the replacement door. Peter can to our house prior to the job being completed to ensure I was satisfied and went over the warranty information. Prior to signing the final contract, I talked to Peter about providing the Aluminum and replacing the Aluminum Capping to the side of the garage door that was dented. Peter and his father (George) replaced the capping matching the bends exactly to the top and the other side. I highly recommend using OTL.!!!"

"While we initially went in for their free consultation to have a pavilion with fire place and stone work, they pitched a landscape plan for our entire property. We loved their design plan and they worked with us very well. Bill is a great guy and pleasure to work with. While we had a few quotes from other contractors, we chose Sharper Cuts. Overall work performed was very good. We had some concerns with grouting not filling pavers completely, but they came back to take care of this issue. Still, areas were still not done. Some of the flagstone tops used were not high quality with rust prevalent. Perhaps their supplier was the issue. They replaced inferior slabs. Plantings were good, but not great with some plants dying and needed replacing. Mulching was scantily done and we ended up spending close to $800 purchasing bulk mulch and laying more down ourselves. THE MAJOR problem we had was the damage done to our lawn along the path they used to drive the heavy machinery (like a Bobcat). They reseeded the area, but the ground was so compacted it didn't take. They came back and loosened the soil and re-seeded again. Much better but we still have a wide and long area where the ground is lower than the surrounding area due to the compaction. Kind of got tired asking for more work to be done. So, overall they are a very good contractor that strived to make things right. The reason for a "B" grade is the fact that issues should be addressed the right way the first time and not in a manner that patches the issue resulting in the customer having to call them back again. Still, they did respond promptly and did not avoid the issues. That is a BIG plus with any contractor. Perhaps they are trying to grow to big too fast and simply did not put the effort in to resolve the issues correctly the first time. Still, I think they are honestly trying their best and this may be a learning curve. We are thankful for their willingness to try to resolve issues despite still having issues outstanding."
