"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants one. The company canceled my original appointment just three hours before arrival. While inconvenient, I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. During the service visit, they identified mold and recommended additional work to address it. I relied on their expertise and approved all the repairs they recommended. Unfortunately, the work was not performed correctly and resulted in over $1,000 in additional damage that I had to pay to have properly fixed. I requested a refund to cover the damage caused by their mistake and was told a manager would contact me. I never received that call. What concerns me most is not just the initial cancellation or even the improper repair ? mistakes can happen ? but the lack of accountability and follow-through afterward. "MIA Services came to the house and provided an assessment and quote to clean fireplace and cap and advised would need to schedule follow up date for service as this would be a two-man job. On scheduled date, only one technician showed up, and he could not speak English. When cleaning fireplace no plastic or covering was used on the hearth or surrounding carpeted areas as discussed during initial visit nor was any type of scoping done to insure flew was indeed clean. Although fireplace seems to be working okay since servicing, I was very disappointed with the way the work was handled versus presentation during the initial evaluation and quote. Communication with the technician on site was challenging to say the least. Overall experience left me with no confidence in this vendor and I would not hire them again. "
