"David and his crew Ives, Victor, and Joseph did a fantastic job stabilizing our foundation. They were focused on the job and came prepared to work. They finished the job quickly and professionally. They communicated with us throughout the entire process. Once they got into the project they were able to identify areas that didn't require the repairs and David quickly explained a new plan and then, with my permission, adjusted the plan which saved us several thousand dollars. I appreciated their honesty and integrity. Thank you Groundworks for training and hiring quality people. Dennis and Ellen Porter"

"I have been dealing with a flooding basement for nearly 3 years since I purchased my rental property (originally it was bank owned with no disclosures!) We had tried everything! First we checked the gutters and had black corrugated pipes installed on the down spouts to lead any rain water away from the house. Helpful (and recommended) but did not resolve the flooding issue in the basement- where water was coming up through the concrete.
I contacted Floodex Property Solutions who I had previously used for dry-outs. They introduced to me what is called an Interior French Drain System. John was very knowledgeable about water damage issues and explained to me where the water was coming from, why and exactly how this system worked. We had a new catch basin installed to a second sump pump and a french drain system installed along two walls in our basement (where the leaking usually comes in). Within a weeks time, everything was back to normal. John worked well with my tenants, kept the work area as clean as possible and communicated well with me each day. My tenants didn't complain. I really appreciate the work and effort that went into resolving this issue and feel confident I won't have future flooding issues.
(The total I paid to waterproof this basement was $6777.43)."

"They were great. I'm not saying this because they use me as a reference, but I was using their service for 6 and a half years now. What I love about them was not to worry about going back or repeating the work. They were prompt, and it's like I was sure about their work. They had a 20k jobs project for me."

"AAA Restoration did a great job on cleaning up a leaky pipe that had leaked water in the basement. The got out quick and and cleaned up all the water & ran the humidifier all weekend all for a reasonable price. Also - the charged me at the low end of the original bid they provided which is nice too. I highly recommend AAA Restoration in the unfortunate event you have any flooding that needs to be cleaned up."

"One of the endemic problems with the construction industry seems to be people being late or not showing up at all. This was absolutely not the case with Upscale Downstairs. When the direct employees had an appointment, we often saw them pull up in front of the house early so they could knock on the door right on time. Subcontractors also came though in a steady and rapid stream such that the work was done quickly. There was a little misunderstanding about the painting at one point, but the original plan of work said exactly what they did, so we can't really blame them for that. Some of the finish work didn't match the rest of the house exactly, but overall we were pleased with the quality of work and the final results."

"These people come out quickly, if you call in the morning they are there that day. We continue to use them because they are so prompt and there prices are reasonable. They had to back hoe the yard, they had to cut through the foundation to get to the line in the basement. They had to replace the sidewalk and the asphalt in the street. It took about two days to complete the work."

"I have worked with them for years. Initially they put in a sprinkling system for me with drip irritation in my flower beds. Then they laid stones in a walkway for me. Every year they check my drip irritation for me and turn the system on or off. Their work is done quickly with extreme confidence. I think of them as friends who help me with my yard and garden!"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Centerville, UT

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
