Mario did a fantastic job on the trim, I was surprised he could paint that close to our hardwood floors and carpets without touching any of them. He correct all the cracks and repaired all screw holes in the drywall and the walls and ceiling looks great. The price was comparable to other quotes that I got. The project involved some wallpaper removal and repair work along with painting (2 coats) six rooms (three of which had cathedral ceilings) plus hallways, stairwells, one bathroom, and a finished basement. "The 2 men that were sent to perform the service were friendly and professional.  They were on time and I received a reminder phone call the day before.  However, the wait time for an open appointment was about 3 months. I called in October and they scheduled me for January, but I was in no rush so I scheduled.  I opted to have the additional service of cleaning and tuning up my furnace motor, which seemed to be in rough shape (result of not changing filter often enough), and applying the disinfectant solution and spray since the additional cost for these services seemed fair.  (My ducts were not cleaned for over 10 years and I saw for myself the condition of the motor.)  I in no way felt pressured or like I was getting a "hard sell".
I purchased the $88 deal on Angie's List, which I admit makes the total cost seem like a huge mark up.  However, after subtracting the additional work I had performed, the total cost was in line or a bit lower than other quotes I received or found online for duct and dryer vent cleaning.  I also noted the writing on the deal that stated there would be an additional cost for more than one main line and return (I have 2 main lines and 4 returns), so I was not shocked by the price. I think disclosing an approximate price for these additional parts would satisfy a lot of the complaints I have read.
One problem I had was with the dryer vent cleaning.  After the service was performed, I noticed my clothes were still wet after going through the dryer.  I took the line apart myself and pulled out handfuls of lint.  I called to report this because I was afraid of the fire hazard and just wanted some assurance that the other work was not faulty.  The response I got from the receptionist was not great. I was offered a refund for dryer vent cleaning (~$30) or for someone to come back, but no apology or desire to make sure the other work was done right.  Luckily, the owner was in the office.  He got on the phone and was excellent.  He promised to come by the next day (a Saturday) and check all work.  He arrived as promised, inspected and took pictures of the air ducts and gave the dryer vent a second look (apparently I did not remove all the lint when I took it apart, so he made sure it was done right).  Honestly, he saved this review.  I would use this company again because I know if a mistake is made, they will make it right (despite some of the bumps mentioned).

"Dennis and Brian from BioClean couldn't have been any more professional, or honest! They were able to schedule a same-day appointment, and were exactly on time. Within minutes of entering the home, they measured for airborne particulates, and indicated that the levels were not very high at all. They proceeded throughout the home, entered the attic and inspected the air handler, and concluded that everything looked fine - even in the areas we would never have thought to check. What they did discover was that there is some moisture in the basement that may be coming from a leaky toilet. We never had any idea! With the free inspection coupon (found here on Angie's list), they did not make any money at all - but less honest people could have told us anything and we probably would have believed it, and paid through the nose. It's companies like this that remind me that there are good people out there! Thank you, BioClean! Should we need your services after the toilet repair, we will DEFINITELY call you."

"I had discovered some spots on my ceiling that I had suspected were from roof damage, so the coupon seemed made to order, though another contractor (not a roofer) had suggested that the damage was probably from rodents rather than water, since it did not get worse after a rainstorm.

After playing phone tag for a week or so, I got in contact with Cornerstone, and they promptly sent out a repairman. The fellow did the inspection as specified, and determine that the problem was a large section of missing ridge vent, which he replaced, and explained that there had been a large opening which rodents could easily have entered through. So he corroborated my other contractor's diagnosis, and completed the repair. Well worth the $150.

"Kevin and his company came through for us in a major way. I wasn't aware of his original schedule of clients and work load, but we needed our basement drywall taped/mudded and sanded in preparation for painting. Kevin stopped by to assess the job on a Tuesday and sent his crew over for the next 2 working days and made them available for painting for the next three working days after that. He provided us with a  reasonable hourly rate and although it was my first time hiring a contractor, it was an easy process to get his crew in, working, and finish the work needed. As an aside, because we were under an extremely tight timeline to get the work done, coordination was required between myself and his employees (e.g. me providing enough paint and supplemental materials) since he was unable to be on site beyond initial and final inspection of the work. Finally, because I underestimated how much work was required (over 750 sq.ft of drywall requiring tape/mud/plastering AND paint, including trim), the final labor total ended up exceeding what we initially budgeted for. Part of this was due to unanticipated issues (e.g. humidity causing issues with the mudding and paint drying timely) causing increased downtime and extending how long the job took. Independent of American Property Services, my recommendation to anyone needing work done in a hurry and hiring by the hourly rate is to hire for a job with which you are skilled in the actual work being done (and just need an extra hand to move things along), otherwise, obtain a quote for the entire job to prevent cost-overruns. Overall, I would certainly hire Kevin and his crew again."

"They did a good job, but they won't return my phone calls because they cut a wire in my furnace. I had to have it repaired and it was $100 and I was trying to get it back from them, but they won't return my calls. The tech opened the door to look in the furnace and when he did he cut a wire and messed up my air conditioning. I call them they said they will call me. I call them I leave a message and they won't return my call. They did a good job."
