Customers say: Quick response

"We hired MPH plumbing to renovate our bathrooms (2 vanities, new shower/bath, 3 toilets, 4 faucets). It took a little longer than expected due to some damaged flooring and another scheduled job, but we're very happy with the overall outcome! Mike went to bat for us, too, when somehow I ordered a faucet without a drain/stopper and the distributor wanted to charge full price. Mike was available by text, phone, or email and gave updates of his progress. I had to do some minor touch ups (eg, caulking, silicone), but this was part of a complete renovation. So the painting, lighting, and bathroom accessories were my responsibility. Mike's a nice guy, too, and will be respectful of your property and pets. I would hire him again, but I don't have any more bathrooms to fix up. I only wish he did kitchen renovations!"

"The technician figured out the problem, replaced the connector/contact box plus installed a compressor saver and was finished in record time. He even showed me the damaged part and explained how the new item worked so I could understand it. Good thing he could diagnose the problem because not only could this have led to major problems with much more expensive repairs but it was also a fire hazard."

"The Lowcountry plumbers were completely professional and extremely capable.  They kept us informed of all they were doing every step of the process.  From the first contact to the last dustpail of their cleanup, they were very efficient and absolutely thorough.  They will be my first call for any plumbing work I need in the future. <br />"

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"Great service. Timely response. Used this company on the advise of mother in law. I called on a Wednesday evening and the entire repair was scheduled for that Friday morning. I was not at home for the installation. I bought a new toilet and a new pedestal sink from Lowes and left them by our master bathroom and they took care of the rest. The worker was neat and timely and had any and quot;extraand quot; supplies he needed in his truck/van. Everything works and looks great and is 10 times better than our last fixtures. The repairman also loosened the knobs in our bathtub because they were too hard for the kids to turn. The only and quot;Band quot; rating I gave was for expense b/c between parts and labor the new toilet and sink all came out to over $400 (closer to $1000 if you count the cost of the toilet and sink). I do not know what is standard cost but that seemed high. Overall, A. <br />"

"Very thorough and professional. Had my heat pump installed within a day of calling them out. The installers were very courteous and explained to me how to operate the new thermostat. The Bryant system works great and is much quieter than my old one."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Charleston, SC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
