"I was very impressed with Closets of Virginia. I met with Stephen who listened to my needs, looked at our clothes and helped me design a closet that was functional and looked great. By adjusting heights of rods and shelves, his suggestions for utilizing space were excellent. I was trying to manage price and he helped me with decisions that were budget-friendly."

"We asked Todd to make built-in bookshelves for our living room. Two cabinets with bookshelves on top that fill a space approximately 9 feet high, 4 feet wide, and 3 feet deep. Todd came over to do some measurements, we showed him some pictures of cabinets we liked on Pinterest and Houzz, then he did the rest. We didn't have any experience with interior design, and when we asked Todd for help with design, he provided very valuable direction and insight which, in the end, made the cabinets even better than we could have articulated. <br /> He had a solid backlog of work over the summer, so it took about 1 month from quote to install. But after taking the measurements, he made the cabinets in his shop, and took just one day to do the installation. Everything was made as expected and fit beautifully. <br /> We also asked Todd to do some extra holes in the wall and outlets in the cabinets to help hide wires for the TV that is mounted on the center wall. He was very handy with this custom work and completed it with no issues. <br /> Todd was very punctual and flexible for timing. We have a baby and a tough work schedule, and he was able to come over early to do his measurement visit when we asked him to (7:15am). Additionally, he was responsive to questions via email or regular phone calls. <br /> Overall we are really pleased with the work that Todd did and the way he interacted with us throughout the process. <br />"

"This is an upgraded review after an initial 2-star grading. Responsive customer service to issues with the purchase itself made all the difference and allowed me to keep an open mind as I continued into the installation process. Overall, other than a few "they could do this better" items, the quality, the accuracy, the value, the helpful support team, and the easy installation of my 7 motorized solar shades all point to 5 stars. We followed the measuring instructions carefully and received shades that fit each space exactly as I expected. Installation itself was easier than traditional shades using the solid brackets they provided. Questions I had during installation were answered promptly through Chat. The remote control was a bit of a challenge, so be patient if you bought a multi-channel one and have lots of shades in your room. And for some reason they don't tell you this, but you must have a remote for your motorized shades. The app alone isn't enough. Our only minor gripe is that determining how solar shades look at night was just a game of inference. It would be very helpful to have an online tool available to create your own scene, which includes shade color, indoor or outdoor, and time of day. Even samples don't help much more. Still, I'll return to them when it's time to take care of other rooms. We did this project for 2 to 3 thousand dollars less than big box store quoted us. It was a cinch."
