"They came as a three worker unit which for a single job or a simple repair would be too many people costing more than it should. I had a 24'x6' old porch ceiling with soffit vinyl needing replacement and a crawl area beneath the house with perhaps 3 feet of clearance. The utilities and sewer drain came up from the ground and were protected by a 6'x6' heated enclosure that needed insulation. During the winter the animals would dig into this and pull down the existing fiberglass batting and make their nest beneath the house. Neither job was by itself terribly hard but for one person which is what one expects when looking for a handyman they were pains (especially the crawl space box which required hours kneeling.) "Locke it In" completed both jobs well and met their cost estimate. The ceiling vinyl looks great. The crawl space box is covered in silvered R-13 Sheathing that I hope the wild life cannot use for bedding come the winter."

"Marc and his team member were very professional and respectful of the house. I met with Marc for a quote in August, but had to wait for couple months while other jobs were completed that were outside before scheduling my one day job. Although we all knew there was a challenge of blending the paint, the final job was left with visible paint stokes on a wall that did not need to be blended. I will probably have to have it redone because it is so noticeable. Also when a handrail that was removed during the painting was replaced, it was not secured when they reattached it. It was a good thing I noticed it before using because it would have been a problem if it was used without securing it correctly.

FAQs for chain link fence repair or alter projects in Chester, NH

Installing a concrete reinforcement slab significantly boosts the stability and longevity of your chain link fence. This reinforcement creates a strong foundation that protects the fence from erosion, burrowing animals, and high winds. The installation cost is $4 to $10 per square foot, and this robust base minimizes the need for future repairs while extending the overall lifespan of your fence.

Repairing minor damage such as small holes is far more cost‑effective than replacing significant portions of your chain link fence. Minor repairs cost between $100 and $200, while replacing full sections demands an investment of $1,000 to $2,000. For a fence that is 20 years old or older, having an expert assess it now can prevent repeated repair expenses and secure long‑term durability, thereby safeguarding overall fence performance.

If you'd rather remove your chain link fence than repair or replace it, professionals charge between $3 and $5 per linear foot for the job. There may be additional costs involved if there is extra labor needed, like relocating plants or separating the chain-link fence from other existing structures. This also does not include waste disposal fees.

Chain link fences have an average lifespan of 20 years with regular cleaning and maintenance. They stand out as one of the most affordable and durable fencing options available to homeowners and businesses alike. Chain link fences often last five to 10 years longer than comparable wooden fence installations. Chain-link fences made with a vinyl coating often exceed these estimates, providing even greater longevity and weather resistance.
