"Diaz Painting also completed a construction project for us. We had an old brick fireplace that we wanted to convert to a gas fireplace with a new (granite) front. We asked several companies that do this kind of work (several of whom came from Angie’s List) for estimates. Only one company ever gave us an estimate - hand written and not easily understood. Diaz Painting had completed a large paint job in our home and I mentioned that we were looking for a company to demolish and rebuild our fireplace front. Diaz said that they could do this, and he submitted an estimate. His estimate was clear, delineating all work. His crew came on time, demolished the original fireplace front, rebuilt the front, added the granite, and rebuilt the wood surround. I’ve attached a picture of his work before the gas insert. Diaz worked with the company that was installing the gas insert to get the correct dimensions and the gas insert company was very complimentary of the work and dimensions of the fireplace front. They repainted the walls and trim as needed. Again, all furniture was covered, and they cleaned up at the end of each day. Their work was excellent. I highly recommend them for painting and construction."

"We hired Bill to repair drywall after a ceiling leak, to replace a ceiling fan, and to install a new light fixture. After stopping by the house, Bill provided a timely and accurate quote. He communicated effectively via text about when the work would begin, his hours, etc. Bill went out of his way to match very old paint samples so that we didn't need to repaint the whole room. The work was well done & looks great. Bill is friendly and kind. We had no hesitation leaving him alone in the house while we went to work. I will definitely hire him again for other jobs."

"We were very pleased with the quality of work delivered on our project to repair our indoor stair railing. Over a period of two decades our cat had used the railing posts as a scratching post. We were concerned that the repair might not be esthetically pleasing without a full replacement. We were delighted that a pleasing and economical solution was delivered for this project in the promised timeframe. "Mr. Mendez and his crew did an excellent job with our skylights installation and painting our shutters and also painting our kitchen and family room. He is very responsive and completed the work very efficiently. Will definitely be calling him again for more painting projects. Highly recommend him. UPDATED AS OF 02/27/2022: Mr. Mendez also replaced our stair railing. He built everything from scratch. He also replaced some light fixtures. He does so much more besides painting. We plan on calling him when we renovate our lower family room."

"We hoped to improve the appearance of our shower by having the mildew-stained grout removed and replaced. In the process, 24 of our glazed ceramic shower tiles were slightly chipped, scratched, or severely gouged by the Handyman's tool used to dig out the old grout. Our handyman worked hard at a difficult and dirty task, but ultimately didn't have control of the tool he was using as evidenced by the damage to so many tiles. On the positive side, Mr. Handyman paid us $50 to buy five tiles to replace the most severely gouged and our handyman returned to do the replacement free of charge. However, I am still distressed by the tiny chips and scratches which remain in so many of the shower tiles not replaced. There appears no easy way to repair the scratches and small chips. This job took two days and we had to pay $1,600 with a $100 discount coupon. We also had to pay $91 for the tool that ultimately caused the damage to our shower tiles. Mr. Handyman was very responsive in trying to address the problem, but we wish it hadn't happened in the first place and are not entirely satisfied with the end result for the money we paid. The grout job itself looks quite nice."
