I recently had closed on a home where prior to moving in they remodeled as well but after moving in I noticed a really strong odor and other issues going on in the home. "Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"This individual is a very nice person and I had no problem trusting him in my home. The work that was done was very good quality but there were some glaring issues. 1. Unfortunately, I did not get a written estimate and the verbal "I'll make wood to match the "V" groove" did not come to pass. 2. I provided the measurements for the cook top at the estimate visit and was told it would take some "ingenuity" but he could make it work. There would be no need to return purchased appliances. Not so. 3. Opening for the microwave was too large and on at least two occasions he and I discussed placing staves to close in the area. This was not accomplished and when I asked him a week later if he had cut them I got a response that seemed to indicate he was concerned about forgetting to correct the opening but have seen no followup in a week. 4. The pantry that was reduced in size to accommodate the refrigerator ended up with two shelves that were 2" narrower than the rest of the shelves. Also, instead of putting four strips (two on each side) for the adjustable shelves he put one strip on each side and one on the back leaving the shelves unstable if anything heavy was placed in a back corner. I ended up pulling out my table saw and trimming in the microwave and cutting new shelves for the pantry. There was plenty of material left over for this and an additional adjustable shelf strip was also left over. Again, really nice guy and the work done was great. Unfortunately the end result did not meet our expectations."

"For the price that we paid, I feel that we received a good value. The work was done well and in a somewhat timely manner. There was a delay when the painter had to leave town due to illness in the family. This was unavoidable and Roger communicated with us throughout. Roger's employees are true artist. They came up with affordable solutions for some issues that we had. There are a few places that the paint work was a little sloppy, but considering that we paid about 20% less than the next lowest estimate, we can't complain. The reason that we won't use this company again? The valve that supplies water to our dishwasher broke off during a day early on in the remodel. This was no fault of the crew, just an old valve. The problem is that no one told us this had happened. We turned our dishwasher on and left and when we came back, everything inside, including the end of one of the washer "blades" had melted. I called Roger and we agreed that we would pay to fix the valve and he would pay to replace the damaged dishwasher "blade". He advised me that he had ordered the part, which I had researched and knew to cost around $90. Three weeks later, he said that the part still had not come in. I advised him that I would like to withhold the $125 balance for the completed job until the part was installed. He agreed that was fair. It is 2 months later and we never heard back from Roger about the replacement part. Not only has he not called us, but he has ignored the 2 times that I attempted to contact him to ask about the part. This is extremely unprofessional. If not for that one thing, I would definitely hire him in the future. It's a shame that he ended our contact this way.

"We hired Jeff because of previous carpentry projects he had done that really impressed us. He has shown himself to be an excellent craftsman, skilled and experienced in just about any remodel or construction task you throw at him. He came over, looked at the job we wanted done, took measurements, and called the countertop supplier right then. He came back the next morning with the countertops and got right to work. He and his assistant had the job done that day. We decided to have him build cabinet doors instead of leaving open shelving as we'd first thought, so he will build them at his shop and come back to install them in a day or two.

He's a good family man who is honest, very hard working, and concerned with giving his customer the highest quality results. We've been happy to recommend him to others who needed his skills in both commercial and residential jobs. We will also be hiring him again in a few weeks to do drywall, cabinetry and countertop installation in our master bath remodel."
