"Ken is a great guy to work with. He's fair and reasonable, and very thorough. We initially had a lot of damage that needed repair. Since then, we use T&K for any sprinkler services and recommend them highly!"

"Our house was built in 1964 and we bought it two years ago. The sprinkler system was decades old and since Oklahoma has no code regulations for sprinklers this one was obviously done by the lowest bidder who cut corners and was not in good shape. <br /> When we bought our house the sprinkler system had not been maintained and every zone had leaking, broken or non-functioning heads. <br /> I called 5 companies to get bids. James was not the lowest, but he was not anywhere near the highest bid we received either. <br /> We went with James for several reasons <br /> 1.) He's from Texas - where sprinkler systems are regulated - He keeps up his credentials and gives you a copy of them as soon as he meets you. <br /> 2.) He provided us with a free estimate that took up at least an hour of his time. <br /> 3.) He provided us with literature about maintaining our system (even before we committed to using him). <br /> 4.) He actually bids the job and does the work himself. <br /> 5.) He made us a supply list and told us we could buy the supplies so we could get the best price we wanted (shop local or online - our choice) so we'd know he wasn't upcharging the parts. <br /> 6.) By buying our own supplies we got a warranty for each sprinkler head that wouldn't require us having to use James in the future if they failed (but we will). <br /> 7.) His price was very fair. <br /> 8.) He showed up when he said he would and got right to work. <br /> 9.) Job took one day and came in under his bid. <br /> With parts James estimated it would cost $950 to replace every sprinkler head and fix the numerous leaks, busted pipes, etc. <br /> I spent about $350 on supplies and James charged me $365 for a full day's work = $715 ($235 less than his estimate). <br /> My sprinkler system now works like it was brand new and my wife and I are very pleased. <br /> We had bids as high as $2,400 for the exact same job. The lowest bid was only $450 - which tells me that guy wasn't going to replace all the heads because parts alone almost equal his bid. <br /> I feel I was treated more than fair and will use James again in the future. <br />"

"It took less than hour to cut the tree and the stump grinding took 30 minutes. The two men that came to our home to provide these services were very polite, friendly and professional. After the service was completed there was no trace of a tree, no branches left, wood chips of any kind laying around on our grass or in my garden. We are considering hiring them again for other lawn care services."

"Working with Grooms was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. They partnered with our pool builder to make sure our freshwater system was hooked into our drains. They moved and positioned our sprinklers. Did an excellent job on landscaping, flowerbeds, and leveling. Everything was done with such care and precision that we felt completely confident throughout the process. We had the privilege of working directly with one of the co-owners, Brandon Peed, and he was nothing short of excellent. Brandon was always approachable, patient, and willing to pause and listen to any concerns we had along the way. He and his crew didn’t just meet expectations , they went above and beyond in every aspect of the project. It’s rare to find a company that combines professionalism, quality, and genuine customer care the way Grooms does, and we couldn’t be happier with the results."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Chickasha, OK

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
