"Went well initially. The technician had his son working with him, however assured me that he would be the one inside making sure that things went well. I asked if I needed to cover anything and again, he assured me that there was no need as he would be using a shop vacuum to suck up soot and particles being directed downward from top of chimney. His son at some point was the one inside using the shop vac to suck up the debris. All went well until he wrapped up the vac. He accidentally let the coil of the vacuum touch the arm of the sofa and the side of the ottoman leaving black soot on both pieces which were brand new. I showed his father when he came in and he was visibly upset that this happened. His son apologized emphatically as he felt bad about what had happened. His dad initially said I could use soap and water to clean it up, but I told him that I expect compensation for any cleaning done by professional as it was spot on both pieces. He took pics and sent them to Nick the owner. I took my own pics and emailed, as well as called to resolve the issue. I was called back immediately and spoke to Nick who apologized and assured me that I would be compensated for any professional cleaning of my furniture. After I had my pieces cleaned, the company I used sent Nick the receipt for services rendered and I had a check in the mail less than a week later. Other than this little mishap, I would highly recommend Nicks Chimney Service because of the professionalism and expedited resolution when I had a problem."

"Ryan was very thorough in accessing our needs for our damage roof and as we added other areas of home repair that were needed he was quick to get his team out to get an assessment and quote for the additional work the needed to be completed. His crews were very hard working and the quality of work they did was excellent. Ryan did find some things that didn’t meet his high expectations and was quick to get his crew out to finish what he expected. "Overall the job went quite well. The owner Steve did an excellent presentation of what was to be done with his proposal. While not the least expensive bid we received, I had the most confidence in them based on Steve's presentation and references from friends who new of them or had used them. The bid called for 3 days of work and Steve had his crew on site bright and early on day 1 and completed the work right on schedule. The roofing system installed was done in an excellent fashion and it looks great. I did have a couple issues with some flashing and some siding corners that were unavoidably damaged during the old roof removal but Steve's site foreman repaired or replaced the damaged items (I had a piece of the siding corner material on hand) without hesitation.
The crew was very friendly and courteous and was very careful to protect the plants surrounding the house from falling materials. They also did a very good job of cleanup after each day of the job which is extremely messy as you might expect. This was very important to us in that we have a dog who has free run of the yard around the house. Very little materials have been found around the house following the work which is amazing since we had some wind during the day.
The only issue that took a bit of time to resolve and was not BH's direct responsibility was our driveway suffered some damage when the shingles were delivered and lifted up onto the roof by the shingle supplier. They use a large truck with outrigger legs to stabilize the truck when lifting the shingles. Unfortunately one of the legs was positioned on a slope and the pad on the leg made an impression into our asphalt. The problem was noted on the completion report to BH and Steve followed up with the supplier to implement repairs even though this was not a problem caused by his crew. The supplier called me back immediately, came out the next day to view the damage then made arrangements to have it repaired. Very professional and no additional cost to me.
Last but not least, Steve's office staff has done an excellent job ensuring our satisfaction. Very professional, very good customer service which is an attribute I highly regard in a service supplier.
Work quality overall is excellent, we've already had some pretty good wind and rain since the work was done and the house has remained dry as a bone. Thank  you BH for a job well done!

"Had to wait two months due to the wide area of damage and number of people who had to have roofs. Roofers were quite busy this summer. But when they did show up they worked long and hard to get it done. Men showed up at 7 and worked some days till 8pm (with our permission). Very good crew and very professional except for overhearing occasional profanity. (Never when we were talking together.) Cleaned up and finished in less than 3 days. Price was, I thought, very competitive. I had an estimate on shingles that they actually beat with metal!! Would use them again but I hope I don't have to!"
