"Our house closed on 12/26/2012 and we were looking for some work to be done with the floors being a major item. No general contractors were available due to the holidays, however Mark, who specializes in concrete had some availability and scheduled a meeting with us on the 28th I believe. <br /> We told Mark beforehand that we would remove the carpet, pad, baseboard, doors, tackboard, and nails. We asked if he could remove some of the linoleum at the entryway which he did without including the removal of the linoleum in his final price. Mark's people came out a few day later and got right to work. <br /> They took about 1 week (7 days) or so to finish about 1000 sq feet, which was expected as he told us upfront that he was fitting us in around other jobs, and as we hadn't moved in yet this was no problem. <br /> We were only charged $4 a sq ft and the floor came out looking beautiful, Mark's wife Gina, performs the staining and sealing portion, which took some time to do because our heater was out of commission and it doesn't dry very quickly in cold weather, but again we expected this and it wasn't an issue. <br /> Additionally, Mark was kind enough to recommend HD supply as a place to buy new baseboard, and they had an excellent deal we took advantage of. <br /> In summary Mark and Gina are extremely professional, competent, trustworthy, and offer a quality job done in a timely manner for a very reasonable price. At first we wanted to do tile, but had received quotes from a couple of others (who didn't look at the house) for over 8-10 thousand dollars. Mark and Gina even helped us understand what is the best way to care for the floor. I highly recommend looking at their company website for pictures of their work, as you will see it is extremely beautiful and affordable. I would and have highly recommended Richardson's Concrete Effects to friends, family, fellow angie's list members, and anybody else that would be interested, I couldn't have been happier with their service or product. <br />"

"It went well. Chris looked at the house to determine how much prep work would be needed and length of time it would take to complete the project. He emailed me the steps of the project, along with a contract and a request for the colors also the total cost for my review. Once i accepted the bid we set up a start date, I signed the contract and send it to him along with the deposit. Once the prep was completed I made another payment and at the end of the project I paid the balance due. Overall it was a job well done,"
