"I rarely, if ever give 5 star reviews. But, I DO recommend Maynor Construction (MC)! But, 5 = perfection, and nothing is perfect : ) I hired MC for cement siding and sunroom addition project, beginning in June of 22, ending Sep, 22. I will review the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. But, this doesn't cover everything, because Home Advisor only allows so many characters. Finally, this was my first (major) home improvement project and likely the largest investment I will ever make in my home. The Good - Maynor (owner) is a very knowledgeable and a skilled builder, with many years of experience. I appreciated that he was actually on site many days, not only supervising, but also working along side his team. - The administrative staff was magnificent. Responsive, knowledgeable, friendly, and available. Having the right people in the front office can make or break a business. Hire the right people to manage the office and it will pay dividends toward the success of your company...in my humble opinion. - I had fiber cement siding installed on my home, and a sunroom that replaced an old, broken-down outdoor breezeway. This was no easy project and teams of highly-skilled workers were at my home daily, typically from before 8am until nearly sundown - and even partially on Saturdays. We were blessed with very little rain through the 3 months, which accelerated the work. Maynor's team worked very hard, moved efficiently, and maintained a great level of skill throughout the process. The Bad - For the most part, none of my utilities were affected all that much. Utility boxes were moved away at the beginning, were moved back at the end, and worked just fine. I also had a lot of electrical added and moved throughout the project, but alterations and small inconveniences were to be expected. However, there was a problem when it came to Maynor's (unintended) disruption of my ATT Fiber. While there was no cutting of that fiber, the siding was installed over the fiber and it shut down my internet. Maynor's workers claimed innocence, but it was clearly something for which they were likely responsible. The fiber cable box was moved back into place, and when I got home the internet wasn't working any longer. This required ATT to come out and reinstall the fiber cable and box that came into my house from the outside. - Kitchen flooring fix. I have a very small special strip of (tiled) kitchen flooring that had to be removed during the remodel because I wanted a small portion of a wall removed. Years ago, this strip was created with very cool, colored, (intentionally) broken glass tiles. But, sadly those tiles are no longer available. Happily, I found some of the original kitchen tile that Maynor could break-up into pieces and install into the strip. I approved a change order for Maynor to fill-in that strip of flooring, which required some pretty major cutting of the floor and sub floor. However, they cut the floor crooked and at an unpleasing angle. And, while it is not terrible, it is very noticeable to me and I wish Maynor had done a better to cut the area straighter. I can live with it, but someday I will need to replace the entire kitchen floor to maintain the professional look. The Ugly - While I live in a populated area, with restaurants, a gas station, hotels, etc... workers, laboring in extremely hot summer conditions, even with lots of shade, require lots of hydration. Those fluids need to go somewhere! Unfortunately, there were at least two instances (likely more), I personally witnessed workers finding their own ways to relieve themselves - not inside my home, nor at the gas station just next door. I complained to Maynor and they promptly brought in, at their expense, a Porta Potty, which would remain for the duration of the project. But, I had to ask them to include and only after I discovered what was happening on my property. Ove..."

"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door. The Home Improvement Co. will be first on our list for consideration. Thank you, Matt, Kevin, and Rueben, for a job well done."

"Excellent service. What is especially important for others to know is I purchased the windows 16 years ago. Twice I had issues with a window and the service was quick and I was not charged for the repair/replacement because of the lifetime warranty. Best investment I have made as a homeowner! "Working with Legacy and the owner Mark Spencer was great. Mark explained the project in advance and it went as described without any major issues. We called Legacy in early January and signed the order January 10.. They just finished the last door and we are very pleased. This is a company a homeowner can trust. We believe the quality of the installation was very good. Each day the debris was removed and the yard cleaned up. That was important to us. We also felt Legacy went the extra mile and provided us with the details we needed and in some cases, didn't know we wanted or needed. Example, our back service door is somewhat hidden by a row of bushes. Mark recommended for security we place an outswing door there. No one can kick in an outswing door. We feel more secure. Mark was great to work with. There was never any sales pressure to buy. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but Mark's input was very helpful. It took a little while but we got the look we wanted. We had wood windows and didn't want those again, but we were concerned that vinyl might not be appropriate. Legacy has their own window and we used that . The look is the best I've seen in a vinyl window and the triple pane glass has made our home very quiet inside. The sun doesn't blind us in the evening in our family room either. Big relief there. Our house is brick lower level and cedar second story. We didn't want vinyl siding and ended up going with Hardie siding. The new color really makes our home stand out and the look is excellent. Fresh, crisp, no more wood rot! We love it. Legacy also replaced 3 doors. Two service doors and a new front door. We went with Legacy's Provia Amish door line. This is a stained fiberglass door and it looks like real wood. Legacy threw in a multipoint locking system for the doors, looks great, very secure. We also had our old wood deck taken down and hauled away. We ended up with a new design that works better with my back yard. Legacy's carpenters were also great to work with. Each morning we would get a call telling us their ETA. We ended up having their whole company here at one time or another. Window and door installers were very clean. The finish, the details were all done well. The crew that did the siding and the paint people were also professional and courteous. Everybody took their shoes off when they came in. That was nice. We are very happy with the job. We recommend anyone considering a project to give Legacy a call. Good people."

"We live in an older home, built in 1947. After much research we decided to make the switch from regular paint to the newer, more permanent coating style of paint. We selected Hoosier Permanent Coatings as our supplier  last October---and weather turned against us before  we could get the job completed last year. Hoosier Permanent Coatings, held our price for 2014 and stayed in touch with us as the weather began to warm in the spring (this year) to get us on the schedule at a time that was convenient for us. In addition we had significant window repair and replacement being done (by another contractor) that had to be coordinated along with the painting job. In short I cannot say enough good things about Hoosier Permanent Coatings (HPC) and particularly their Office Manager, Rosemary. While I was having serious challenges with the window contractor, HPC was with us every step of the way. When it finally became time for them to do their job---they arrived on time, worked extremely long days, all with great care, and did the most beautiful job!  Rosemary communicated regularly regarding what would happen each day...and that's exactly what happened. Their crew supervisor (I forget his name)--was terrific as well. Very respectful and professional. Everyone of the crew was thoughtful and courteous. A manager came by the job each day--to be sure I was satisfied and to see if I had any additional questions.
I cannot say enough nice things. I would heartily recommend Hoosier Permanent Coatings to everyone that is considering this service. Our house has never looked better!

"Our front door had been damaged by an attempted break-in for years and was getting progressively worse. We were pretty much unable to open it some days last winter. The salesperson that came out was friendly and well-informed. He went through all of our options and we decided on both a new front door and a new sliding glass door to the patio. The front door had many options that we went through which included the style of the door, the inside and outside colors and the style of the windows on either side of the door. He provided us with a quote which we accepted and he gave us what turned out to be a very accurate timeframe of when the doors would be installed. As we waited for the doors to be installed, Bee Window kept us apprised of where we were in the process and we worked out a couple areas in which there were questions. Installation day was scheduled and the installers arrived on time. It took a few hours for both doors to be installed. Before leaving, the installer guided me through opening and locking both doors and answered any questions that I had. They did a great job cleaning up the mess, both inside and outside of the house. The only negative I had with the entire process is that I felt that the price was a bit high. But after having the doors, and especially the new front door, I am more satisfied with this purchase than any other home improvement purchase I have made over the past 20+ years. The door is fantastic -- it closes properly and keeps the sound out and has zero gaps and looks absolutely beautiful."

"Mike is very prompt and does an outstanding job.  He was willing to move furniture before painting and then moved it back when finished, he even rehung the curtains.  He did minor repair work on the walls before painting and was very particular about the quality of the job.  He is amazingly quick, but his work is flawless.  Mike is very conscientious and wants to please the customer.  We already have other jobs we want him to do."
