The company main contact scheduled an appointment to review and assess the lawn, and provided a quote for the services needed (trimming the Hedge bushes, laying down grass feed, and mulching the trees). The company informed me when they would be able to perform the services needed, and they showed up as agreed. The lawn was amazing!! My attendance was not required, since I had to be in the office. Once the services were completed, the company sent me photos of the completed work, and my yard looked like a complete new yard. Once we settled on Baumann's Landscaping as our contractor, we called Rick and the crew were out the next morning promptly at 9am. "We met with Glen on Friday, July 7th to get a concrete walkway and patio to our egress walkout in the back of our house. Glen was very personable and did a great job of explaining exactly what would be done and his high expectations for the product. Glen even drew a picture of his idea so we could really visualize it. I am a visual person and appreciated this greatly. I got the sense from Glen that he takes a lot of pride in his business and wants his customers to have the same product he would expect for himself. I sent Glen a couple of emails between Friday (July 7) and Wednesday (July 12) trying to find out exactly when they were coming but didnÂ’t hear back right away. He did end up getting back to me on Thursday (July 13) and apologized for the absence of communication. He said IÂ’m sorry I didnÂ’t get back to you. I donÂ’t have an excuse and I apologize. When my husband noticed that the part where the walkway meets the driveway did not look exactly like we had talked about I called Glen and he assured me that he would speak to his guys and get it done. The next morning, Glen came out personally to make sure everything was what we wanted. Our backyard has a steep slope so Glen told us they were going to add some steps in to make it safe to walk on. This is something I never would have thought of but I love how conscious he is about safety. I really appreciate that Glen likes to make things look good but his ultimate goal is safety. It was going to rain on Friday so they decided to come back the next day and pour the concrete. They did a BEAUTIFUL job! We love our walkway & patio What I really loved about working with Glen is his honesty, work ethic and dedication to his customers. I felt very comfortable with him and trusted him instantly. "Beautiful job by Troy & Co. Our backyard was useless with standing water and a mud pit under our deck, but Troy installed a french drain system and buried several downspouts to divert the water away from the middle of the yard and installed some river rock with a border under the deck to make it an attractive area versus an eye sore. Will definitely be hitting Troy back up for some more landscaping work in the spring."

"We contacted Northern Virginia Landscaping shortly after my family moved into our new home in Alexandria. We wanted to be able to use the outdoor space for our kids to run around, but there was a big problem, there was eroding retaining walls, re-bar sticking up from cinder blocks, old bricks, and the land sloped a significant amount to limit functionality of a play area. We did not know much about retaining walls or how we could possible build the space for what we would like to do, with also keeping in mind some possibilities for expansion in the future. After the initial estimate we were able to finally see how the project could be accomplished, what type of drainage the walls needed to have, how high the walls should be and how we could transform this treacherous landscape into an area where are family can play for the future.
