"I highly recommend Sunset Roofing. They performed a complete shingle tear-off and replacement on our 31-year-old house. It was the third roof on our house. The house has a complicated roofline with dormer intersections and also included replacing three skylights. Sunset Roofing was very responsive in addressing and completing our job within one week of first contact. The Sunset Roofing team was professional and efficient throughout the install and performed a superb job. Two days after the roof installation was complete, about 2.35 inches of rain fell in Rochester on 7/17/21. There were no water leaks anywhere in the house during or after this excessive windblown rainfall event. The complete absence of leaks during this heavy rainfall is note-worthy because the previous two roofs that were installed by other contractors leaked throughout their lifetimes."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"Beginning of project (A+): They reached out rather quickly and scheduled appointment. Matt came out to our house and explained the services, costs and timing. Matt recommended that we file a claim with insurance company due to extensive wind damage on the roof and offered to meet with insurance company's inspector. I'm truly grateful for his guidance and time to meet with us because the insurance company ended up covering the full roof. Middle of project (B): Nick reached out to us to schedule the full roof replacement and we only had to wait 2 weeks. Super fast! Up to now, it was smooth sailing. The morning of installation, there was a mix up and a different project manager showed up to the site. We finally figured out that he was at the wrong house and he politely left the property after handing out another company's business card to everyone. Not a big deal but if we had a project manage/supervisor show up with the crew, I wouldn't have to deal with this awkward situation as a homeowner. The crew was great and worked hard all day long to finish the job the same day. Fantastic! Upon inspecting the property after the job completion, I noticed that a large branch on my Japanese Maple Tree was broken along with 3 other bushes, most likely due to having the tarp over it for material disposal. Not a big deal until I reached out to Matt and he sent me Nick's phone #. I didn't even know Nick was the project manager/supervisor. I thought he was just the employee who scheduled installations. I reached out to Nick to report the damages but had no response. End of project (C): There was no follow up as far as when they were picking up the dumpster and other materials left on the driveway. I reached out to Nick and the dumpster and materials were picked up the next day. Up to this point, there was no contact about payment until a week later and I informed the person on the phone that I had some concerns about the broken plants. She said an employee would come by to pick up check and address damages. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name but he introduced himself as a Stellar employee and the person who would inspect the roof work. I addressed the damages and he checked the roof from the ground. Considering he was not the project manager/supervisor who should've come to the house instead, he was a good listener as I explained my concern about the broken plants but he couldn't offer any solution. I think he was just the person available at that time who they sent to pick up check. And who checks on the roof work without getting up on the roof? The person who they sent to collect check only! Nick should've been the one to inspect the work. In a nutshell, I'm thankful for Stellar's initial guidance through the insurance claims process and eagerness to complete the job. I just wish there was more supervision and follow-through once the job started and ended. I usually don't leave reviews but they offered a great discount if I completed one as they take pride on their high & honest ratings."

"Work performed: Roof replacement Date: June 2020 Amount: $15,000 We chose Exceptional Exteriors after getting two bids, based on their excellent Angie’s List ratings, the professionalism shown by Daryl when I met with him to review the project, and that their bid was lower. I also appreciated that his crew was experienced and most of them had been working together for years. The project was a large house tearoff of five layers of roof, and it involved several sections of roof, from the main roof, to a porch, an addition, and a bay window. Daryl was prompt in replying to my questions and in communications about the schedule leading up to the start date. The crew arrived at 7:30/8am each morning. I met and liked each of the roofers in a six-person team led by Glenn, who kept the team well organized. As a very experienced roofer who loves the work, Glenn also performed some of the more challenging parts of the job, including a very detail-demanding reroofing of a near-flat area of our roof that had been a source of leaks in the past. His works looks great, and I am confident it will do the job for a good, long time! Overall, we are very satisfied with the new roof. The crew worked hard everyday despite some very hot days with temperatures into the 90’s. I did keep a table in the garage with snacks and iced beverages for them, and they were appreciative. They also replaced facia coverings that had been ripped down in windstorms, and these look nice too. One key aspect of any roof replacement is cleanup. I would rate their cleanup effort as solid. They cleaned up the yard at the end of each day. For a few days after their work, I still found small bits of old roof debris in a few vegetated areas around the house, but it’s nothing I wouldn’t expect and I don’t feel it’s anything major. Speaking of plants, the crew did a nice job protecting the plants around our house, and we have alot of ornamental plantings, large and small. In summary, I would hire Exceptional Exteriors again, and I would recommend them to others considering roof replacement or other exterior work."
