"John Bronson, owner of B.R.C.& Co provided excellent service. He replaced my door handle on my storm door and made sure to explain to me why my old handle was not working properly. I will definitely use his company again for any future interior and exterior renovations."

"They did a good job. It took them not quite 2 days to complete the work. They cleaned up everything and even our neighbors have commented on the new roof roof. They did a good job and their work is guaranteed for up to 50 years."

"It did take a little time to connect up with Jeff - partly due to his being swamped after the storm and my work schedule. He got here by the time promised and due to some rain the evening before, had to come back out a little later in the day when things had dried out. He explained what he was going to be checking for up on the roof and what actions he would take should he find any problems. Once up on the roof he checked everything out as promised, fastened down the flanges where they had been lifted by the storm and reported that there were no other issues with my roof. (Relief!) Jeff was pleasant to work with and very professional and I would definitely recommend his services to others."

"We are pleased to recommend Triangle Reconstruction with our highest praise. It seems too simple to say that they do what they said they’d do, but that’s exactly what happened. Our home is around 50 years old. Ours was a large job - around a month and $30,000. We had Triangle Reconstruction come in after another moisture company provided mold remediation and a humidifier. I wish we’d contacted TR to start with. We provided TR with a structural engineering report. They created a plan to exactly meet all of engineer’s concerns. TR used temporary supports and replaced seal plates, girders, and joists for over half of our home. In addition, they poured footers and built new columns. They also added a few additional girders to firm up our floors. They removed and replaced our insulation. They sealed our porch and crawl space, replaced our vapor barrier, and installed a moisture meter. They wrapped our electrical cords and hung them. The people at TR are remarkable. A+++++"

"I called Blaylock builders and someone was out the same day to give me a quote. They were on time and very courteous. All of the work was very well done and the entire crew was very professional. All work was done in a timely manner and they even went above and beyond in fixing a threshold on the sliding glass door. The crew cleaned up after themselves as well. I was very very satisfied with this contractor."

We give free estimates and our main goal is to work with you to accomplish what you need, for a reasonable price. The things we create inspire us, reflect who we are as a company, and stand tall and strong against everything that may come it's way. Our projects protect us against the elements of weather, hold us up off the ground from critters, keep us warm or cool when the weather changes, and you can admire the beauty of what you just paid a very reasonable price for. When you work in the construction industry, you see evidence of your job every day, from the site you worked on last week, to the project you’re hoping to get next month. You’re out there, creating something, each and every single day. I don’t know about other contractors, but it’s my favorite part of being in this industry.

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Clinton, NC

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
