"Concrete driveway leveling and crack repair work was performed to our satisfaction, by a 2 man crew, who arrived promptly at 8 am and completed the repairs in less than 4 hours. <br /> The work was expertly done. Almost half of the driveway had settled with resultant cracks and joint movement, caused by water intrusion into the substrate below the slab.  The slab has now been raised back up to level by drilling small holes in the slab and filling below with light weight dense foam, pressure injected. Upon completion of the leveling process, all the crack joints were filled with sand cement topped off with a flowable epoxy, thus sealing the joints. <br /> Observing the work as it was done, I was impressed by the skill level shown and, especially, the judgement of how much injection can be done without causing further cracking to occur due to over filling, or uneven filling. <br /> It is important for potential customers to know that this is repair work.  The intent is to make the driveway completely functional and safe. The evidence of it being repaired will be obvious but should, when finished properly, be acceptable.  The only alternative, complete demolition, sub slab consolidation and new slab construction, would probably cost at least ten times as much and much longer to complete. <br /> The two men worked diligently, showed a high level of competence and were very courteous at all times.  We were very impressed and would, following this experience, strongly recommend Acculevel, Inc. <br /> Myles Murphy <br />"

"All  work went very well! Matt is an ambitious worker who did all of the work with the exception of HVAC and electrical. He had competent workers who also worked very hard. Matt is a man of his word and we trusted him at every step. He's very easy to get along with and keeps you informed of progress throughout the project. We communicated nearly every day by phone or text or email. <br /> He is skilled carpenter!  We presented him with a picture of a pergola entrance that we liked and he built it perfectly without a detailed sketch. <br /> I would highly recommend Matt for your construction project!"

"Workers were professional, courteous, and completed the work in a timely manner.  The Scope of Work was discussed with the Owner prior to its start.  The actual work area was isolated from the remainder of the home by sheets of plastic hung from the ceiling.  In addition, the walkway was also protected by sheets of plastic laid on the floor covering the floor tile and/or carpeting.  The work started on time (9:30± am) and was completed including the cleanup by 5:00 PM.  The noise and dust was kept to a minimum.  The Scope of Work was reviewed with the Owner upon completion and the forms were signed and a confirmation was received that an invoice would be submitted for payment. <br />"

"<p>Dan came to my house for an estimate. We walked around my house and I explained what I was looking to have done. He informed me he was busy with other things and that my estimate would take a little longer. It has been a month now and I haven't heard from him yet. Seemed like a nice guy who knew what he was doing but I guess he just isn't interested in small jobs. It would have been nice to know that instead of waiting for weeks for an estimate to show up.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>**Since my original posting I have been in contact with Dan. He accidentally misspelled my email address and that is why I never received my estimate. Even though I have already hired someone to do the work he quoted me I would definitely have him out to give me another estimate on future projects.**<br /> <br /> </p>"

"I was referred to Everdry by a family member.  My cousin learned about them at a home show.  Everdry stopped the water from coming into their basement which also stopped the mold from growing by removing the source of food (water).  After hearing his feedback and actually seeing the work that was completed, I contacted Everdry for an estimate.  I am so glad I did!  I had no idea what I didn't know about why, how, or even where the water was actually coming in from.  Greg from Everdry started with a few questions for me, and then we walked thru the basement and around the outside of my home.  After doing an initial inspection, Greg spent some time educating me about the history of the company, the benefits of using Everdry, and topped it off with a sketch and detailed explanation of the why, how and where the problems were and how they would fix it.  It was actually overwhelming and as the days passed I came up with a long list of questions.  I am happy to report Greg came back to my home and spent the time I needed to get all of my questions answered, even though some of them were repeat questions that I simply needed better clarity and understanding on.  Greg Lambright not only knows his stuff, but he also communicates it so the average homeowner (non-builder) can understand.  Now let's talk options, who doesn't like options?  After completing the inspection and assessment of the water and mold in my basement he laid out the options.  Not only about different ways to remedy the problem, but also options on how to pay for it.  Depending on your circumstances you may not need the full gambit, but I did.  I have a big and spacious home.  In fact, on multiple occasions throughout the process, different workers commented "wow, the basement just keeps on going".  Thankfully Everdry works with a company that provides financing at reasonable rates.  The application and approval process was quick and easy.  You also don't pay for the work until it is 100% complete and you are 100% completely satisfied.  One other bonus, I was already able to refinance that loan for a lower rate and zero penalty.  It's been two months since my basement was waterproofed by Everdry.  It was March, and we've had plenty of snow and rain since that time.  My basement is still dry.  The sales team, office staff ,and hard-working manual labor crews at Everdry were all great from start to finish.  The scheduling process was easy and they were flexible with the my work schedule.  Everyone was able to answer my, what seemed to be, endless questions.  Most people dread contractors coming into their home.  Not in this case.  Each person was kind and respectful and I looked forward to their arrival.  The post-completion follow up was just as great as the communication during the process.  Though I am truly thrilled with my dry basement, I think the greatest bonus is that their work comes with a lifetime transferable warranty.  My basement is dry, the mold has stopped growing and we are working towards having new living space in our basement!  Not only am I satisfied, but I also have peace of mind.Thank you Everdry!   clc of Kalamazoo"

"I chose this company because they'd done a neighbors' concrete and they were pleased with the experience and the sealant that was used doesn't change the appearance like most do. <br />   When I first contacted them they were booked ahead with big jobs. They could get to me by mid-June, but would fit my job in earlier if possible. They did, several weeks earlier. <br />   They cleaned my driveway, personal walk and patio, public sidewalk, and curb. Special care was given to the highly dirty/mildewed areas. I pointed out some decorative border stones and a repaired area that would be fragile and he took care to not damage those (or anything else).  <br />   They discussed whether the water-based or solvent-based sealant would be better given the age of my concrete (and the tendency to mildew). The solvent-based was used with special attention to those areas prone to mildew. <br />   They kept me well-informed re: what was being done and what I can expect going forward. <br />   I'm LOVING the clean look and also seeing water just bead up on top!! <br />   I didn't give an 'A' re: price, but it may have been competitive re: what I had done and the products/tools used. I hadn't gotten any other prices since I knew I wanted them to do it."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Cloverdale, MI

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
