"Great job. Two interior doors were replaced; one including the frame. Now we have nice looking new doors. Bobby was professional, efficient, and neat. The price was reasonable. I will definitely hire again. Thanks."

"This wasn’t the first time I used Vazquez & Son. In 2014, they expanded my closet and built custom doors for it. Luis and his team are alway nice, attentive to detail, and leave the work area clean. So, when my bathroom ceiling was torn up to repair a leak I called him immediately to repair and get my bathroom back in order. In fact I had them repaint the whole thing and it looks great. I’m writing this review a year later because once again I have an emergency repair need (broken bay window) and once again Vazquez & Son are to the rescue! I had been traveling out of the country and a guest using my place broke the window. From the airport, on a Sunday morning, I texted Luis a picture of the window and he responded within 10 mins. It is great to have a reliable responsive handyman/construction service provider when you need one. Not all my projects are big money, but it’s my home (1 bedroom apartment) and having things done right matters to me. Vazquez & Sons treats my projects like professionals and never make me feel like small potatoes. I’m a loyal customer, and plan to be, as long as Vazquez & Son is in business."

"amazing. drawer was finished in under ten minutes and works beautifully. Also done were repairing locks on doors that would not lock. Work was done neatly John explained everything he was doing and I have hired him to return and do door painting and cabinet door repair. Neighbors and my daughter in law have requested me to provide his number for wall mounting a video screen and various other projects. very impressive knowledgeable and polite young man. Prices are very fair also."

"Terrific, we decided to go w/ Stoneberger because their sales representative spent time advising and guiding us through the options, the colors and styles of doors. She listened to what we thought we wanted and helped us find the right solution. No other sales rep we met with offered that customer service. She also followed up on time and was super easy to work with once we decided on specific doors. Installation also was on time, efficient and went very smoothly. We had one issue that arose b/c of the age of our house and Stoneberger addressed it quickly and beyond fairly. Highly recommend them."

"My garage door would not properly open and close, so I checked the list for a reliable service company with a tune up deal.  Chris came out Thursday and checked the door, identifying that it was cracked, causing it to sag in the middle, and the track was warped.  Unfortunately, the bottom two panels were cracked, so a tune up or repair were not possible.  Chris called Andrew who was able to get me a quote on the spot for next day installation.  Tony and Henry came out Friday afternoon and completed the install, ensuring the everything worked properly. They worked quickly and efficiently and let the work site clean of debris and hauled away the old parts.  The price on the door and install was somewhat higher than others I found on-line but the quick turn-around and friendly service even that out.

"We are very pleased with the result, the success of which is attributable to the following:

1) Willingness to go beyond. For example,
-Robert was the only bidder to offer a color consultation, which proved to be invaluable in the end  (see below)
-I returned home one day to find Robert and crew fixing a drywall patch that had been applied years prior, even though it was out of the scope of our agreement; he told me he couldn't bring himself to just paint over it without properly fixing it first
2) Experience.  Before our color consultation, we had a general idea of the color scheme we wanted for the house.  Thanks to Robert's experience, we were able to avoid making some disastrous color choices given that we had no idea how much seemingly minor differences in color shading could affect the final product.  Without Robert's input, there is no telling what our house would look like today.  I should also note that we reviewed our final color choices with 3 different interior designers, who all agreed that we have 'impeccable taste.'  (A complement we shamelessly accepted even though Robert was the catalyst)
3) Straightforwardness. Robert acted with our best interest in mind.  For example, although we selected a particular name brand paint, he suggested we use a more cost-effective (yet equal quality) brand for certain ceilings that did not require a unique color, even though doing so would add to his workload as he now had to deal with 2 suppliers
4) Work Ethic. Robert was the only bidder who actually paints in addition to managing his business; managers of the competing bidders would not actually be onsite, which made us wary of quality control.

Before Robert's involvement, we only thought of painting as a means to refresh the house.  In fact, our house has been transformed, and we have Robert and Competitive Painters to thank.

Some of the areas for improvement include:
1) Estimate of paint - Robert overestimated on the number of gallons of paint required for the job, costing us hundreds of dollars in wasted money.
2) Quality control - Although Robert was on-site daily, he did not perform high quality control as we had expected.  His own personal work is great; however, some of his crew made a lot of paint drips, missed spots, were not careful when taking off and putting back blinds and closet racks, spilled food, etc.
3) Attention to detail - When the drywall repair was done, they forgot to paint several spots leaving white spots on some walls."

"The refinishing of the tub went without a hitch. The tech was here for half a day, and it looks just fine. I  can recommend them for this.

The replacement of the shower doors was another story. The contractors had some trouble installing, but then got the panels in place. I waited the suggested time before using, and noticed couple of places that were leaking. I called the company, they came and fixed it. But alas, only one of the leaks was fixed. I called them again, they came back, for some reason, didn't have caulk with them - had to borrow some from the contractor that was remodeling my kitchen. But same thing, still leaking. I called again, they came. Repeat about 3 more times. Twice, they told me the head technician was coming to take a look, but only his assistants showed up. Finally, the owner came with a shower door company rep. After one more attempt to repair the existing panel, they decided to replace it. So now, it's not leaking where it was before. It's leaking in a new place, but I'm not going to call them again. It's not as bad as the other leak, and after so many visits, I just can't devote any more time to this.I will just keep a little towel handy to catch the drip!

They DID try to make it right, and I give them credit for that. I just don't think they are very experienced with the shower doors. Like I said before, the bathtub refinishing part went well. Also, I think the doors were overpriced - I got the plainest ones they had,
and I found them to be really pricey compared to the stock at the hardware store."

"I called after hours on a weeknight after my kids accidentally broke a window, and Tracy had someone here the next morning at 8am to replace it. Everything went great, I was very grateful and will call again for future home repairs."

"Sammy and Santos came right on time and worked tirelessly to clean the inside and outside of all the windows. ?I also had them clean our french doors (both side) inside our living room and dining room since the small windows of the door are difficult to clean. ?when Santos cleaned these doors, he used a scraper on each window to ensure each pane was clean. ? The deal I purchased only covered 20 windows inside and out, so I paid extra for all the other windows and doors in the house. ?It was nice to have everything cleaned at once. ?My windows have never looked so clean! I think the total cost was a bit pricey, but they gave me an estimate prior to the work and I was very happy with the end result, so I'm pleased overall."
